This cafe/restaurant is definitely a wonderful little find in Penang. Within it is similar to Provence with the decoration of glowing blue/yellow and incredibly bright colorful desk decoration. Refreshing baked croissants and standard French breads are for sale to purchase to collect as well. The servicefrom the employees was excellent and drinking water was placed at our desk immediately on arrival. Furthermore we splurged on a big glass of Sangria each We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 course set lunch time with many selections for the fabulous cost of $RM30 each (coffee or tea included) and the full total bill found $RM96. This is our second visit once we had a breakfast there 3 days ago and wished to delve further to their capabilities. We weren't disappointed and can return soon to take pleasure from dinner and try a few of their French wines.....Provence in Penang really states it all.

Tucked down a aspect road from Tanjung Bungah Street, it is a wonderful discover. Genuine French croissant and house baked bread; great collection of food at realistic prices and incredibly drinkable wine. The decoration is genuine Province in glowing blue and yellowish and the personnel arewonderful! Mine host will probably be worth seeking out along with his restaurant! One to return to, again and again. The map and deal with on another review are wrong. It is a little street which goes across the side of Infinity condominium.

Wonderful genuine French food. We dined here these days and had an excellent experience. For the very first time actually we find the same meals - prawn bisque accompanied by duck confit. These were both ideal and delicious. There have been a lot more tempting disheson the menus and we'll be returning to try out the tajine, civet of porc, boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin etc. The deserts appeared great but we're able to only manage one between us - chocolate orange cake - again outstanding. The service was extremely friendly and the café was very relaxed. Car parking is easy. Croisette Café provides marvellous foods in an exceedingly pleasant setting on remarkable prices.

Several of us have been in the eating place twice. The initial experience was already poor but we said enables give it another chance. - the meals was bad ( both instances the duck breast has been raw and needed to be returned to thekitchen, the seafood was over completed and the portions had been different. I purchased warm goat cheese as a beginner and got 4 little pieces , my partner ordered exactly the same dish as a primary spdish and got 3 pieces. Whenever we asked the principle of service she informed us that she'll inform your kitchen but that has been it - service was really poor. They served the primary dish although some of the plated up to now the starters were nevertheless up for grabs. Nobody got the proper dish. - the only thing great had been the desert. It had been properly presented and tasted great (the chef appears to be a patissier rather than a cock and he should stick with making pastry. In addition the complete menus without wine was very costly. Conclusion after two appointments don't waste materials your time and effort and money. again we went two times also it was bad both moments!!!!!!!!!!! -

We visited this cafe when it opened and discovered it quite definitely wanting, amateurish in its method, the meals disappointing. The menus was fascinating, emphasising French provincial food preparation such as for example Boeuf Bourguignon, stews, duck magret, do-it-yourself pork terrine and lentil salad. Sadly the qualityof the laundry, the inefficient and bumbling provider spoiled an otherwise pleasurable décor (although lighting is excessively vivid at night). Our two subsequent appointments (the restaurant is easily located near the house) did absolutely nothing to boost on our first impact. Moreover, prices are higher for the grade of the fare served. On the positive part, the desserts are great: it appears the officiating prepare is mainly a pastry chef. The Croisette furthermore sells good breads and from time to time croissants They could well consider converting right into a pastry/tea room. We will not return back..

We have eaten many times with the Croisette Café and also have never been disappointed. I've spent considerable time in France and believe the Croisette meals is genuine and of top quality - the ratatouille had been a emphasize ofthis visit. We can not understand either the bad remarks below or the truth that the place is indeed quiet. The restaurant is pleasant and the chef/patron is too. Really worth a visit.

Right after reading several blogs and reviews, we were really keen to test this cafe whilst holidaying in Penang. Reservation for supper was produced via Facebook. Upon arrival, we had been warmly welcomed by way of a male staff so when the cafe had not been busy, we hada selection of available tables. There is no printed menu directed at diners. Instead the menus was composed on a blackboard even though staff informed a few of the items weren't available. Whenever we enquired who the chef was that night time, the employees ummed and ahhed and said the chef owner had imparted his information to the chef and was upon a consultant basis. We're able to understand that being truly a couple of days after Chinese New Yr, the chef and his loved ones could have been aside. We afterwards realised the chef that evening was an area (possibly an apprentice) rather than the chef proprietor (a Frenchman). Even though service was good and the waiting time acceptable, we found the standard of the meals and the cooking nearly right. Our beginner of prawn bisque has been great. But both our major span of beef rib attention with mushroom sauce had been disappointing. The meat had not been cut uniformly also it was not really tender. We have reduced our ranking of the cafe appropriately. Perhaps we'd have had another encounter if the chef proprietor was the main one cooking that night. Price-wise, it was affordable. A 3-course dinner for just two including several cups of wine found under RM250.
