Crab Village 's been around since 40 more than years ago. Began from the Tua Pek Kong temple at Tanjung Tokong , they will have branched out because of some family matters. They served only freshly salted baked crabs and prawns-these being mainly their signature meals. Ireally like the clean juicy and authentic flavor of the crabs and prawn and when I like just a little flavour, simply dip the crab to their do-it-yourself chilli sauce. Oh, it is possible to already odor the aroma of the crabs at the entry of the shop. And the ultimate way to benefit from the crab and prawns would be to peel shells and consume the meat together with your fingers. This cafe has been and continues to be favored by Penangites. Patrons are given with lime to clean away the smell. You can find small stalls promoting noodles, cockles and satay... So if you desire to enjoy simply no frills crab- this is actually the spot to go... crabs should never be inexpensive when I was just a little girl in fact it is still expensive now. Be ready to pay a little more but you'll definitely benefit from the crabs and prawns. Oh yes, you need to contact to pre-guide the crabs.( one to two 2 kg).. you're lucky if you stroll in and you can find crabs available... probably because of last minute cancellation. If you would like varieties, it is possible to always hop to Tsunami Village or Sunshine Bay Restaurant which are simply nearby.

A nice place overlooking the seafront. The meals was nevertheless disappointing. The prawns had been actually salty, shellfish salty and fried noodles actually salty aswell. The calamari had been the only dish that has been good. Our food tasted of the salt drinking water from the ocean. Wewere glad we didn't order any crabs since it was costly and we'd have to suffer consuming it! We purchased some satay and fried oysters from the stalls there also it was just common. Too bad because the location and sights were nice. The program was however really poor and unfriendly. Can't realize their being running a business all these yrs. We shall never be back.

Salt baked mud crabs and prawns. Properly baked to retain moistness in the flesh of the crabs and prawns rather than dry out. Freshness of crabs and prawns could be tasted and savoured. High quality, but at a cost. Not the least expensive seafood meals though. 1.5kgmud crabs & 0.5kg of prawns price RM178, while the beverages (2 watermelon juices, 1 calamansi lime juice, 1 100 Plus canned beverage & 3 glasses of iced chinese tea) price RM25! There exists a stall behind the restaurant that you can even order heavy fried calamari/squid, oyster omelette (oh chien), fried clams (different kinds) and noodles. Simple furnishing for the restaurant. Nothing fancy. Back again of the cafe faces the ocean. Not wheelchair accessible. No bank cards accepted - cash only. Very limited parking areas within the eating place compound. Might need to recreation area your vehicle across the main road.

A pal brought us there. The seafood has been EXCELLENT. Everything as basically barbecued, with some options of deep fried plus some cooking food. Hokkien mee was excellent too. I'd give this location a 4.5 star, anytime.

Go right here if you want crabs, cockles and prawns. That's all this location does and there's a minimum order however the food is quite fresh and cooked properly. The household who run the area also very welcoming. There exists a separate cart whereyou can order side dishes such as for example Hokkien noodles, oyster mee, stir fries veggies, and fried rice. As I'm not just a huge crab fan I probably enjoyed the medial side meals more than the primary. But I can observe how a crab lover want this place.

Great find, stroll through what appears like a garage area to the restaurant that is near to the floating mosque and overlooking the ocean. Menus depends on the times catch but we'd gentle shelled crab, prawns and refreshing pollock. Absolutely superb.

The crab village is sadly over rated. The decoration is usually non existent but I possibly could accept that. The menus can be non existent. On the night time that I proceeded to go there with my children, there have been only two products on the menus, barbecued crabs and steamedprawns. Both crabs and prawns had been simply steamed without sauces or spices or flavours. The crabs weren't cleaned and you also had to eliminate the gills and entrails yourself before consuming. The meals was also expensive and actually I felt that it had been over priced. Not recommended.
