first knew concerning this place through a few youtube video that was recommending this location. we travelled to 1 of the felda home and we will move by sungkai to find yourself in our holiday destination. therefore we had to find what things to eat in sungkai andfound this location. location: it is a little quaint older restaurant and it turns up on google & waze therefore no issues finding this. food: excellent house cooked flavours! the salted poultry is not the most common one where they marinade with salt and chinese herbal treatments. their version will be salt and lots of ginger! their stove will be best at the entrance so that you can see how they prepare their poultry using traditional technique = coal stove with wooden logs for fire. you do not normally view it in major metropolitan areas anymore. maybe that is why their chicken is quite popular. the lovely potato is strongly suggested too - they prepare it at the medial side with the chicken. apart from their poultry, there are some additional sides too - paku pakis (veggie) is surprisingly popular inside this city. there are several other pork dishes, veggies and fried bean curd pores and skin which we didn't order. eliminate: call them beforehand (preferably each day earlier) if you wish to choose the whole chicken back again to wherever you are going to. it's RM30 for just one, standard price whether your chicken is huge or small. it is rather popular and lots of people in fact come completely to buy. based on the owner, somebody from KL once purchased 50 from her! yes and indeed, this place is among KL and Ipoh so you might put an end here for quick lunch time!

Unintentionally found this restaurant within my road Visit to Malaysia. We simply eventually wander into Sungkai region and was informed by the locals that restaurant is quite famous within their area. Their 2 must try speciality will be the pig trotter and the saltedchicken filled with lots grated ginger. Pig trotter is quite very soft, really flavourful also it just melts within your mouth. Combine the sauce of the pig trotter with basic rice and may cause a individual to complete 2 plates of rice unknowingly. The salted chicken is slightly salty to my taste, but its acceptable. They uses Kampong poultry for this dish this means the chicken meats will undoubtedly be chewy. It certainly turns out a little bit chewy but it very juicy. The proprietors did the planning of chicken openly. They're very ready to show and reveal the ingredients making use of their customers. Has been told by the locals and the dog owner that it's always best to contact to order prior to going over. The preparing time the 11 poultry in a wok is approximately 1hour. Have a look at for the images attached. Their namecard will be captured.

An excellent stop over for lunch time, to or from Ipoh and incredibly close to Sungai Kla hot springtime. Has many delicious menus and definitely must attempt the salt bake poultry.
