I have heard about the famous Sitiawan Gong Pian. Therefore there I was beyond your stall that was beside a restaurant. Entering the store, I noticed there is only one other client beside myself. After a few years the proprietor explained ahead backin 20 minutes period for a brand new batch also to have a sit down elsewhere next door. After a quarter-hour I returned and noticed there will be que of 7 persons but waited when i have given the purchase of 40 biscuits. I was very amazed when I was informed to become listed on the que. miscommunication? Eventually after another 20 minutes my turn came n bought what I needed.

We were pretty lucky whenever we found a car parking spot right before this stall. There have been only about 4 other folks lining up for the kon piah. The kon piah includes a sweet fragrance also it must be eaten although it is hot.It has simple filing of onion hence getting the kon piah lovely and crunchy. When it's lukewarm, the kon piah is certainly oily and a little chewy.

There are some options if you discussing gong pian in Sitiawan. The Cheong Cia one’s may be the least chewy, tough but really crispy compared fairly to others. They sell two kind of Gong Pian. One may be the onion just filling, the next oneis with pork filling. Both are great and instantly try them if they remain fresh and hot. It really is suitable to be studied apart too. You will observe people buying a lot more than 30 of them. Maintain them in the fridge and when you need to eat them, simply oven them for some time. Do take note they're closed on Sunday!

Queued for slightly significantly less than an hr and were able to buy 10 pieces, Actually unique pastry filled up with onions and incredibly crunchy and excellent to be eaten when freshly baked in the charcoal oven. Also great to be consumed with the Kampung Koh chilli sauce. And it's really NOT expensive! It gets super hard and hard following a day though. :P Highly recommended to at the very least try for the knowledge. The kopitiam nearby has superb tai chow meals.

My sister, my mom and We went at 1230pm and we waited for a brand new batch of gong pia to prepare yourself. We were happily waiting around because we had been like 3rd in queue. The ladies before me, 2 of these collectively, queued togetherbut bought individually and all of them purchased about 30-50 parts at least. These were chatting happily with the dog owner. The dog owner asked why purchased therefore numerous? They replied to help keep la! They laughed together. Another in queue a couple of, purchased around 20. Next found my turn. I stated 30. She mentioned she cannot offer me so several because she has to help keep some for others behind me who Simply GET DOWN THEIR Vehicle LIKE LESS THAN five minutes BEFORE! I emerged and queue one hour and I cannot purchase as much as I like because I must care for other people who came past due. What kinda business technique is this? She also said dont buy therefore many. Not great after a few years. HELLO it really is my company whether I would like to buy a lot of or not. I needed 20 for a pal who questioned me to assist to get, 5 as souvenir to a teacher and just 5 for myself. She also said since i have came with family, most of us can only just buy 20 together. Hi there! What about the two 2 ladies jointly? Though I was included with my family, I've MY OWN Household and MY Mom HAS HER OWN Family members. She buys for neighbours, family members and etc. How do she generalize in this manner? should they cant produce therefore many, PUT AN INDICATOR TO RESTRICT Everybody! WHY ONLY RESTRICT Myself! DONT EAT SO A LOT OF THE GONG PIA COS YOU COULD BE GONG AFTER Consuming! THATS HOW I FELT! SUPER PISSED OFF!

The Gong Pian are delicious! They will have 2 choices - pork and onion. They're crispy, nice and salty and both types are absolutely divine. You need to pick your timings as occasionally you should wait in an extended line to allow them to becooked. As soon as they are prepared they sell out rapidly - especially the pork types. People buy large luggage full. Weekends are usually public holidays are usually very busy. Definitely worth a go in case you are in Sitiawan!
