So far the best banana leaf restaurant I ever visit. Paling best dia punya sotong. Aduh. Rempah tu memang blend in bener dalam sotong tersebut. Kari, of course padu. Lagi satu dia punya sup, tak ingat apa nama tapi memang pekat kaw. Makan macam tu je pon sedap. Highly recommended!

Would suggest going to this place in the weekend, their crab rasam and fried mutton is not to be missed. Service is good and curries are really tasty

Wholesome, no frills and non pretentious nor mainstream food. Each and every veggie were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Their vegetarian rasam was a joy on the palate. By far the best tofu sambal I've ever had at a restaurant. Service was top notch. I had to wait on nothing. You get what order within seconds. I'm definitely recommending this place to anyone and everyone. They know their banana leaf! So! I returned here 6 days later. I called ahead to ask if they've got vegetarian dishes available since it was already 2pm. The lady that answered my call said yes as they weren't too crowded with patrons that day. Errr, when we got there, we couldn't even get a table (insert eye roll right here!). Ganapathi MESS indeed! They definitely aren't equipped nor trained to deal with the average Sunday lunch crowd. I got my glass of water AFTER being done with my banana leaf meal, that too after asking 10 different waiters 10 different times. Food was good but service was horrible! With service levels like this, I wouldn't be surprised to see them get fazed out by another mess.UPDATE : Alrighty, my third visit comes with a bang. So, me and my lunch partner collectively ordered 2 vegetarian banana leaf, 2 plates of tofu sambal, 2 yogurts, 1 plate of sayur manis, 2 Teh O Ice Limau and ordinary rasam each. We were shocked at the counter upon learning that our bill was for a whopping RM43.00!! Upon checking they started feeding us with bullshit like "tofu sambal was a big plate hence RM8 each" (mind you, the plate was the same size of a tea saucer) and the plate of miserable sayur manis was for RM8!! The vegetarian banana leaf set that comes with rice, 3 vegetables and rasam itself is just RM6!!! I highly urge confirming the size of your plate (as absurd as it is) upon placing an order to avoid frustration of being conned in broad daylight.Rahul Bhanot

from the name, you should know that the place is a mess. so don't expect it to be a Michelin star restaurant quality service. requires a lottt of patience, especially during lunch hour. I would suggest for you to go early. Brunch would be best. Crab rasam is the best!!! I was down with a bit of a flu and it cured my flu instantaneously. Hands down, best banana leaf ever.

Tasty food but cut throat prices. Just prepare extra cash when you visit. You will always get an extra surprise. Pretty sure you can find other underrated banana leaf rice places at a much better rate.
