Grace and I came over for some light bites, as there was a 15% discount, it was a pretty good bargain. We were greeted warmly by a (seemingly senior) Chinese lady that goes by the name of mimi (? it was stated in the receipt, could be wrong). From what I saw, she was very hardworking and she was very attentive to grace and I.The place was decorated well. The food was above average. They hid the wontons below the noodles so we were surprised as it came without any wonton in sight haha.

The first spoon reminded me of Guangzhou- it is because of the broth. Aroma of prawns and meat, with just enough saltiness. To remain authentic, wontons or dumplings are buried beneath the springy, thin noodles when served. The dumplings and wontons are packed dense. I personally preferred the pork and prawn dumpling against the prawn wonton. Price on the upper range. Overall pleasant experience and may call for revisits.

First time having lunch here at 1 Utama Mall. There are lots of food stores here and finally I dare to try this wonton noodle. They said to be so famous with the wonton. All wontons (dumplings) here are made with the old recipe from time to time, passing by the owner to his grandchildren. The place is quiet spacious with old-fashion Chinese restaurant's style. The signature dish is the wonton noodle itself. All wontons contain prawn and can be combined with pork. I tried their wonton noodle soup. The noodle is so thin like a string and soft. I like the noodle. The wonton is tasty as well, but the shrimp smelled fishy. Overall, the food is quiet good, clean, and a little bit pricey. The service is slow, maybe due to the crowd. Happy eating!IG: JESSICA_SISYBLOG: MYCULINARYDIARYCOM.WORDPRESS.COM

With the wantan mee craze, Mak Chee sure lives up to the hype. I had the beef brisken wan tan mee which was flavorful and not very oily. However, I believe do order for their large size as the small one is pretty small.

I have tasted much better Wonton mee than this. I tried their Signature prawn wonton noodle dry dish and it really disappointed me big time. For this price which is very expensive for their Large sized to be every other hawker stall's version of small size, i could get 2 large bowls of the true hawker style best wonton mee. Enough said, pls conclude your franchise and quit the market soon.
