This visit to north Selangor/south Perak have been about food. We halted by roadside stalls and attempted the neighborhood food, especially seafood. Along the way north we ate at Faridah Mentarang Bakar and just how back we found AZR Mentarang Fresh Sekinchan whichcoincidentally was located simply opposite Faridah's. It had been an impromptu cease for lunch time and how amazed we had been by this unassuming cafe. We ordered steamed cockles, masak lemak telur ikan mayong, fried squid bands, rice and drinks. The grilled stingray was massive. The masak lemak had been creamy good as the fish roe didn't have got the unsavoury fishy odor. We wanted to appreciate cockles but were still left disappointed because most dining places that we visited didn't stock them. It had been wish came true once the waiter mentioned they do possess cockles. Therefore we ordered not just one but two dishes of steamed cockles! The cockles had been satisfyingly great and the broth has been delicious so much therefore we had been spooning it like soup. We were stuffed and for 9 folks, it costed just around RM120 including drinks. It had been well worth the purchase price.
