My dear dad and by expansion I are of ethnic Teochew origin. My dad's birthday this season - I had wished to do something specific for him i.electronic. bring him to use his own Teochew meals. And the only real specialized Teochew Chinese eating place I couldfind will be this place. We drove over inside an organization from Penang Island in last Sat. We purchased deep-fried appetizers (collection of 3: loh bak, prawn fritters and crab fritters), Teochew-style steamed grouper seafood fillets, tu-ka-choh (pork trotter stewed in darkish vinegar), qing-long cai (a kind of natural veg), and bitter gourd fried in salted egg batter (my mom's preferred). We finished the food with the traditional Teochew dessert orr-nee (sweetened mashed yam in pork extra fat). It had been a satisfying dinner. But why after that did I not really give this evaluate a 4- or 5-superstar rating? Looking back again, the meal didn't stick out as Teochew cuisine concentrated! I cannot inform whether it's the captain's failing woefully to recommend genuine Teochew meals or it really is our choice to choose the above dishes.

My dad loved getting his breakfast dim sum right here - and the service directed at him was very type & courteous. Popular location with the locals.Us has happy remembrances of the wonderful inexpensive & nice tasting dim sum place.

1st time here and incredibly pleased. Friendly and attentive employees. Aircond with charge card facility -- prices matched the product quality. We are a celebration of 7 pax, purchase the appetizer of 3 fried items, steam seafood with preserved vege - their residence speciality, claypot porkwith salted seafood, crabmeat taufu, sambal potato results in, dessert steamed yam with gingko and casher nuts + tea + rice, overall RM224. All of the dishes had been delicious, greatest being the fish.
