Who have thought such good french food could possibly be within Sabah! Swiss educated chef puts on an excellent menus - pork in prunes simply lovely and excellent to have garlic loaf of bread and soup provided within the main. Try out the mushroom soupif on menus! Highlight has been the baked mussels - simply delectable! Amazing service - chef arrived to welcome and produced an excellent recommendation on a pleasant French red wine. They focus on Australian beef and wine however being from Oz we tried another thing instead. Very happy! It really is quite far out there of city and taxi driver didn't know where as very new so take instructions with you! Within an odd location but very worth your time and effort. We proceeded to go for a particular birthday dinner to use something else apart from regional cuisine and we had been very happy. Hard to obtain a cab on return thus arrange a driver. Many thanks all for an excellent evening!

It really is understandable how Palomino was seen as a "high-standard cafe" in small city such as Sandakan. Honestly, the food really was average, I purchased a lamb shank when I had been there with my children. The lamb shank wasn't tender as it's suppose to end up being,it had been actually rater hard. The Creme Brûlée was too lovely for me, but luckily it emerged in a little portion, several spoons also it was all gone. Overrated and Overpriced. Worthy of trying but not at all worth another go.

Nothing at all amazing. Was expecting much more from the nice looks of the eating place but the food has been very typical and the support was okey.

Great food but too pretencious, they're trying to tough and should adhere to good nearby and seasonal food. Place is fantastic nevertheless and staff was extremely friendly

This place offers diners who discern the very best in Western cuisines. A few of the dishes that has to try is escargot (period), smoked beef, grilled poultry, etc. which are as well good to say here. Progress reservation is strongly suggested. It situated at Mile 8, Sandakan, Travellingthere is really a problem if you don't are with local buddies or employ a taxi to hold back for you personally while dining there.

This is the only restaurant that serve high quality beef e.g. Kobe etc. The chef is quite friendly and nice. The food is fairly priced. The location is really a little bit of of town.

Granted that it provides what no some other restaurant within Sandakan will - Escargot, Wagyu beef, and so on. at European charges for obvious reasons. And that there aren't lots of western joints out within Sandakan. One much less travelled with a much less discerning tongue and deeperpockets would definitely label this "high quality". Because it's costly doesn't mean it's great. There are many places somewhere else in Malaysia and overseas that charge as much or even more and serve exquisite food. This location ISN'T IT. Their soups are so-so. Have tasted much better mushroom and pumpkin soup. Theirs was nothing specific. Their smoked duck salad is really a hit or miss. My first-time, it had been to-die-for! Every subsequent period thereafter.... Not so. Escargot... Definitely not right. Lamb shoulder - overdone, dried out and almost inedible. Sirloin Steak - palatable but nothing at all to shout for. Beef brisket - Looks much better than it tastes. Staff are attentive good enough but because the place is seldom full, it's no question.. No? In addition it's located in regards to a half hour away of Sandakan city and isn't the easiest spot to get to.
