We'd steak and seafood and chips and shepherd's pie. Delicious foods. Great wines and cocktails. Be sure you book your taxi house first. We went two times.

We asked our taxi driver to get us here following a stop by at the war memorial. We were immediately asked to sit back wherever we wished. There is a vacant desk under an enormous tree overlooking sandakan. It had been a lovely hr spent chillingwith a magnificent view. The menu looked extremely appealing but since it was the center of the afternoon we chose tea & a bruschetta to talk about. All delicious & not really overpriced.

We came here whilst on the Sandakan Heritage Trail. This is a colonnial design restaurant. We had a pleasant afternoon tea and cocktail (Singapore Sling!). The gardens are nicely maintained and the sights are excellent. Worth a visit!

Service has been excellent and prompt since there have been only 2 other visitors at that time. It had been 12pm. Sadly, their mains selection had been terible since something amiss with their chiller and may only provide chicken. Seafood and lamb has been unavailable. We ordered breads pudding andchicken chop once we were quite starving. It had been served on time aswell. Within 15 minutes. First the poultry chop, served with dark gravy sufficient reason for chips and combined of lengthy beans and carrots as sides. The poultry marinade was great, nonetheless it had been overpowered by the gravy (I'm guessing beef share with black pepper).. Only if the poultry chop was serve since it has been or with some lighter gravy like mushroom sauce. It will be ideal. The chips however had been partially burnt and salty. Vegetables were alright but not appropriate for me. Secondly the breads pudding. It had been good! Not lovely. It was among the best I actually tasted. Kudos. Price wise. It had been pricey for the mains with the mediacore elements used. Should have utilized lettuce or any leafy salads. The chips ought to be in good fingers in order that it would end up being perfect rather than burnt or make use of mashed potato rather. The main attraction may be the lush garden and the view. Tea and meals good, however, not that incredible. Would mix it with a trip to the Agnes Keith home (just close to the tea home) as a culture, background and tea time visit.
