That is literally to 'go to' restaurant for all your older residents of Rawang and its own environs as many have already been frequenting this restaurant given that they were young. Warning, unless you come earlier, you will need to wait. As soon as seated, you'll still haveto wait because they take time to prepare each dish and can not be rushed. Food is consistently great although everything tastes much better if you're hungry following a long wait😁

Several Chinese restaurants I understand of can match the typical of the meals served as inside Peng Nam. For a lot more than 30 yrs my buddies and I have already been likely to this restaurant rather than as soon as have we been dissatisfied. Today, once more, we hadour lunch right here. We go completely to Rawang from Kuala Lumpur, traveling 35 km., merely to have our lunch time practically monthly. The signature dish for my pal and I may be the Wantan Soup, comprising pork and veggies. Our other favourite meals are lovely and sour pork/seafood, kankong belacan and taufoo with minced pork. The fried rice served as of this cafe stands out compared to most Chinese restaurants. The assistance here too is great. The chef, Lee, is an extremely warm and friendly individual, who despite his frantic schedule always chats along with his customers for a couple minutes. Strongly suggest connoisseurs of Chinese food to go to this old and unique restaurant. A Eating place among restaurants!

Peng Nam Restaurant inside located in the center of Rawang town inside Selangor, Malaysia. It acts conventional Chinese cuisines. I got the stir-fry bitter gourd poultry, potato results in 🍃, fried wan tan & fried MaYao Seafood with toufu. Their steam rice can be prepared & servedthe old school method in a steel bowl. Once you dine there, you'll get the feel like you're eating lunch/supper in the 80s/90s because they maintained the wood structures of these humble shop. Pricing is slightly over inexpensive but with the Nostalgic ambience, I assume it's worth it. The restaurant opens from 12pm-7pm. Only public parking can be acquired so you have to buy parking coupons from the close by sundry shop. For a bonus, throughout the day, it is possible to get a particular ice blended sweet traditional soup like bobochacha from the nearby stall outside for the dessert.

A sleepy small town with small to offer/do . Nonetheless it has a lot of tyre stores. As suggested by fellow vacation Advisors, we made a decision to try this eating place for its classic meals- potato leaves, nice & sour pork, seafood with tofu, fried fooyong omelette, andfried wanton. All tasty and very well cooked. However it's reputation meant an extended wait period. We waited at the very least half hr before we were offered.

We've not visited PN for the longest period. Easily greater than a decade! I usually have fond reminiscences of the food right here. The steamed rice in dented metallic bowls and the extremely delicious lovely and sour pork. We had been otw house from Ipohand made a decision to have dinner at PN. Parking simply because usual is really a real discomfort but were fortunate to locate a spot right over the restaurant. There were several tables having dinner whenever we entered the restaurant. The area never changed a little, aged and dingy! The wall space seriously require a new coating of paint plus some additional fluorescent lamps will certainly make the area more lively! They will have POS system right now following the implementation on GST. We ordered :- a) nice and sour pork @ RM 20 - gooey sauce and the pork isn't succulent and crispy. a complete letdown! b) Steamed extra ribs with spicy bean sauce @ RM 20 - too salty! c) Seafood paste tofu @ RM 17 - This is good and the flavor is well balanced. d) Kangkong belacan @ RM 16 - again, the tad salty a little overpriced because of this dish. e) egg foo younger @ RM 12 - the tad salty f) steamed rice x 3 @ RM 4.50 - the bowl is wonderful for 2, so don't over order. g) pot of Chinese tea for 4 @ RM 5.50 Everything was the letdown aside from the seafood paste tofu. Not at all the flavor we used to take pleasure from. Don't think I'll keep coming back again. Furthermore, PN closes at really funny hour (730pm) if you strategy to come for supper, greatest is come b4 700pm.

Old town coffee, may benefit from the normal lifestyle as of this old store. No special decoration just a normal coffee store and may order food.

The fried egg is great. The vege is okay. The nice and sour pork is really a bit too much ( maybe is an excessive amount of flour?) and the foundation is not very much sweetness and sourness.

RM106 for 4 paltry dishes that have been only worth RM60 at max. I experienced cheated. Won't go back. I'm uncertain why this cafe is highly regarded. Someone can't have actually taster real house cooked food if this is the case. For all those ofyou that are considering this location.... stay away!!!!!

This restaurant serves probably the most unique sweet sour pork and tauhu fish. But one has ahead really early and become prepared to await at least 40mins! Desk and seats are actually limited and the waiting around can be hugely long.
