CMCO - it caused me stranded in my own hometown recently. My initial plan was to celebrate my birthday in Klang Valley but because of the recent spike in Covid-19 cases, I had to remain put to guarantee the safety of my children. Oh well.. Ihad an excellent birthday albeit a straightforward one. We spent all day every day together at home. Come dinner.. another half had booked a table at Ah Fatt Restaurant Raub, among the oldest and popular restaurants in this town well-known for Musang King durian. About 40 minutes drive nonetheless it was worth the trip, because the quality of the meals made up for your time and effort. ◾steamed patin - it isn't wild patin but man, the meat was sweet (however, not as firm because the wild one) minus the muddy taste. In conjunction with simple, clear yet top quality soy sauce, I couldn't find fault in the fish really. Also it cost only RM60! ◾German style deep fried pork knuckle - highlight of the dinner instead of letting the fish took centerstage. Braised before meat soft and flavourful before deep fried... Individuals were fighting before last little bit of meat on the knuckle. It presented my carnivorous appetite. Priced greater than the fish at RM80 nonetheless it was huge ◾Braised goose web with mushroom, fish cake and bak choy - among the earliest staple dish in Chinese wedding, this didn't come cheap however the wifey held nothing back. For me personally, I'd would rather order something else despite the fact that the dish was quite good. ◾Sizzling taufu with egg and minced meat - served still sizzling on the plate, the waitress mixed everything together and we did the eating. ◾Stir fried green dragon vegetable I brought along a bottle of Australian Bordeaux blend to celebrate my birthday dinner which became good pairing with the laundry.
