This is actually the home of the famous Robert's char kway teow (ckt). Most the customers are usually for him and during your meal except an extended wait. However its really worth it. He remembers his clients and makes as purchased. Unlike many placeshe won't create a fuss for those who have any choices. Quality and taste have not changed within the last 10 yrs I have already been frequenting his stall. Besides ckt the economic climate mix rice stall can be famous during lunchtime especially with the learners who live nearby. After that we've the fried rice stall that is open for lunch time and dinner. There are also popiah, laksa, curry mee, prawn mee and kway teow soup right here. Plenty of varieties and most of top quality and taste. With regards to environment it is a standard Chinese kopitiam. It could obtain noisy and stuffy. It really is clean however, not spotless. Anticipate greasy floors. Will recommend this location for a meal.

Indeed, Robert Char Koay Teow had been popularised by way of a local daily inside the fried kueh Koay Teow competition but unfortunately this individual lost out to some other stall inside SS3. IMHO, I desired Robert as its flavor more authentic. Take a look.

Very salty wantan (promise you will lose plenty of hair from the quantity of salt they make use of), extremely terrible Hakka mee (therefore bland you should pour 2 spoonful of soy sauce at the very least) which tastes Nothing beats Hakka Mee, typical Pan Mee. This coffeeshophas actually awful selections, yet another substandard coffeeshop in PJ. Avoid buying those I've mentioned! Not sure concerning the Char Kueh Teow everybody else talks about, however the remaining food just don't actually order. Utter waste materials of period, and it's expensive either for restaurant food!

This very typically local Chinese restaurant includes a few stalls that offer good local Chinese hawker food. Of note may be the Penang-design Robert Char Kuey Teow (the specific fryer's name isn't Robert, whom I really believe will be his brother-in-law, but he solutions to Robertanyway!) that is among the better or even the very best in the PJ region. Another stall of note may be the prawn mee / mee yoke stall that includes a broth that packs a punch - superior to the more famous 'top quality' ones in close by SS2. Another one that I love may be the bitter gourd and pork noodle soup - also really flavourful. The only real drawback will be that their espresso is so-so just but it's a little con in the larger scheme of items. There's the typical 'chap fan' / economic climate rice stall and another fishball noodle and 'tai chow' stall that i haven't yet tried. We have been visiting this location for some time and intend to keep coming back!

First -Point out Huat has ceased functions since 2018. However, to satisfy the 100 words minimum amount I will touch upon Say Huat nonetheless. A few of the stalls are operated by family members of the Say Huat restaurant operator...nepotism doesn't encourage any real development. Because of this, the restaurant has already been sliding since. Needless to say, the closure of a recognised neighbourhood inexpensive food joint does put a wrinkle inside our routine but that's life.

Robert Char Kueh Teow. Latest overview of Robert Char Kuey Teow at Fortunate Seng Sec 17......Avoid by any means unless you desire to content with the car parking and crowd at 12 noon in weekdays as then the 'boss" comes into play to frythe CKT. In any other case on Sat and Sunlight at 10 am. At other moments the Indon employee will fry and she confusing my order just Kuey Teow rather than Kuey Teow Mee and forgot the Lap Cheong.😡😡😡😡😡. This location is off my checklist already.
