There 3 some other cheaper mamak restaurants with this side, but I elect to walk upward the pedestrian bridge, cross to PJ33 and dine at Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar; and once and for all reason.Let's not pretend; OPKNK, doesn't offer whatever not the same as other neighboring mamak dining places. But I keep returning in their mind because in 3 of another branches that I've visited (SS2, Mid Valley, Kota Damansara) their foods and service are constant and it's pretty good. Sometimes they're even great.The premise here's clean, well lit, areas and well ventilated. The assistance is quick and effective (at the very least during off hrs) and the meals... well it is a mamak stall.The fried poultry and fried squid is tough, dried out and overcooked; pretty regular fare in at all mamak dining places.But, it can taste better. It isn't as bad as additional mamak restaurants that I am to. The curry can be pretty good; not too spicy, not really too salty or as well bland but just sufficient to opt for the rice.Certain, RM20 is most likely too much to purchase Nasi Kandar but We appreciate the complete package that place offers.
