My bf & We celebrated our anniversary in Kota Kinabalu and we went to Happy Vines because of this special event also it was very special. Even when I had been sick, the meals still tastes therefore yummy to me! We tried all sortsof exotic cheese from European countries, various kinds of wine that's hard to obtain in Asia in addition to a special kind ham that's really uncommon (forgot the name however the ham has such as, less than 1% body fat if I'm not mistaken, hahaha!). The dog owner (also the chef), Remy, has traveled to many elements of Europe and cut back a variety of unique food things from there, that was very special. We also learned a whole lot about Western meals from him so that it was also an educational night time for us. We had this type of unique experience and can definitely return back there again. The food that has been served to us includes: STARTERS - Prawns fried in Bacon Tortilla Espana Fillet of Seafood with Coriander Salsa FIRST PLATE - Seared Tuna along with Noodles tossed along with Carrots & Capsicums flavoured along with Citrus Soy SECOND PLATE - Seafood Paella THIRD PLATE - Mutton Ragu served with Spaghetti & Ratatouille Vegetables DESSERT - Queso de la Serena on Biscuit Fresh Fruit Juice The area is 20 minutes travel from the town area rather than all cabs know the positioning of this place if you need a ride to the place, call Vincent Mawan (+60146553166) then show him the address: 74 Taman Malakun, Jalan Putatan Ramayah | Penampang. He'll know where to consider you and its just rm20 for just one way trip. Remy and his spouse have become very friendly & helpful if you wish to customize your personal dinner menu, it is possible to email him with hv@happyvines.com Have a look at this link for photos and lists of foods selection: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.220660107982764.50540.117749908273785&type=3 If you wish to have a particular romantic evening, I Guarantee you that you will not regret eating here! :D

Do you expect probably the most succulent roast WILD boar? Sambal that's filled with flavour with a hint of piquantness? Heavy seared Ahi tuna slices over Japanese ramen drizzled with savoury soy, sesame essential oil & some wasabi, if you want. But, what getsthe gastric juices heading should be their trio of tapas beginner. This can be jellied pork leg (yes, leg of pork), Spanish tortilla or prawns fried in extra fat (not vegetable essential oil). The beverage is really a choice cup of Gruner Veltliner or Chardonnay. Then, you proceed through another six courses, influenced by available fresh elements from the market. 2-day pre-booking must experience this gastronomic treasure saved 20 minutes from KK city centre. You may need a car (excellent driving directions) or pre-booked taxi both methods. If you think the town restaurants are reasonable, have a look at their standard cost of MYR35/pax for a 5-training course dinner that fills. Wines not really found any place in Sabah, begins at an acceptable MYR80/btl for a German Riesling/Petit Bordeaux Chateau/Austrian Gruner Veltliner. JUST ONE SINGLE sitting per night, therefore invest some time and enjoy.
