We were told during our trip of the resort that Straits & Co just serves snack foods and afternoon tea, when Planters, the primary hotel eating place, is closed between lunch time and supper. I had a past due "snack" here, at 2.30pm, but provided the part and quality,it had been really lunch. It had been nasi goreng at an impressive 65 ringgit but was included with all of the bells and whistles- sambal prawns, fried tumeric poultry wing, satay and seafood in the nasi. Large portion, really tasty and incredibly filling. Therefore yes, it's "international" prices but at least you're getting quality and amount. And service too. Personnel service at the resort is simply exemplary.

Our final day in Langkawi therefore we opted to possess our lunch here within our holiday package. Must state we loved it immensely, way more compared to the high tea ( furthermore nice but husband not really that keen on sweets). Started with the mangosalad and the Thai beef salad because entrees. The food portion sizes were therefore big I mistook them for primary courses. Usually I don’t consume beef but after 3 several weeks away from Aus made the decision to give it a try. Quite tender and flavoursome. Next came the real mains. Vego noodles and a Nasi lemak which includes the loveliest flavour and consistency. It was associated with 2 huge spicy grilled prawns, a beef and a poultry satay and a crispy poultry wing. Huge serving - experienced dreadful wasting so very much but it may have fed 2-3 individuals. Compliments to the chef. Among the nicest foods we’ve had. Unfortunately we'd to deny the offer you of a fruit platter once we were so full. Danna you have gone us an excellent impression for the final meal prior to heading on the extended flight home. Many thanks to all or any the staff who've contributed to producing our holiday so fantastic. You each possess fulfilled your functions with an agreeable smile and probably the most courteous. We had a pleasant high tea at Straits and Co overlooking the swimming pool. Also at exactly the same location we enjoyed a pleasant lunch.
