Very good western food, but ambience just a little lacking. We arrived on Thurs night for supper. Ken's kitchen had been pretty full. The decoration is clean and contemporary, with an open kitchen area. The downside will be that with several customers, the noise ranges are high andit displays off the many surfaces - which means this isn't a cosy, quiet, cafe. The menu is rather varied - you can find affordable choices (around MYR30, seafood and chips) and much more expensive choices (MYR70 onwards, lamb rack and steaks). We had taken the truffle chips which arrived refreshing and sharp, with a generous helping of parmesan. The lamb rack has been tasty but just a little tough, as the beef rib had been elegantly offered mushy peas and incredibly tasty. Dessert pavlova has been a modified edition of the initial and no much better for this - no lotion, and the fruit sorbets had been too nice for the meringue. Foods presentation was exceptional, and costs reasonable. Assistance was friendly and effective, though a few of the servers had been obviously less encountered. Wine menu offered, by 200 ml bottle or 750 ml bottle.

Nice meals with reasonable cost. The trout is crucial as it will be their signature dish. However the Rib attention is Astounding. Ordered one with Moderate rare doneness also it actually shocked me with how great it was.

Amazing dining experience, companies and staffs are helpful and well-educated. Tried the specific item of the 7 days, Australian Tenderloin also it was superb. Properly seasoned and grilled to an ideal doneness of Moderate Rare. Got Asian Calamari salad also it amazed me for how uniqueit had been, as a beginner in a western cuisine eating place. Great initiatives from chef by merging local substances with western cuisine. Would keep coming back again soon.

After hearing from friends and associates about Ken’s Kitchen, I lastly made a decision to try the eating place out for a lunch getting together with. I have already been told the cafe is among the better types where western food can be involved. My company associate and We were showna desk immediately once we arrived. General ambience and decoration of the eating place is modern and contains a higher end feel. The menus is quite substantial from starters, pastas and mains. The menus was also split into a brunch, lunch time and dinner menu. Therefore certain meals are served specific limited to brunch, lunch and supper. Now that's where items went downhill from right now there. We arrived shortly before 1.30pm and made our orders upon settling with our table. I purchased the Caesar Salad to begin with and we purchased the Rib Eyes for the mains. It required literally forever (one hour) for the mains to become served. Just how long does it consider for a moderate cooked Rib Vision to be produced? Not sure if they were looking forward to the beef to thaw or if they had to perform out to the supermarket to restock their Rib Attention but it got an unbelievably very long time for us to obtain our food. Along the way, we were booted from the cafe to a table outside coz these were closing the main eating place at 2pm so anyone still in the cafe were asked to go to tables al fresco. When our steaks lastly arrived, I questioned about my Caesar salad plus they had completely forgotten to get ready my salad. There have been only 2 folks for lunch time, our orders were self-explanatory and incredibly few; 2 beverages, a salad and 2 steaks, yet they forgot to get ready my salad. Unbelievable! Without doubt the steak was prepared perfectly but regular wise, the product quality, taste and preparing of the steak is not any different from worthwhile western restaurant inside Kuching and will not make Ken’s Kitchen area stand out from the others. From the knowledge I had from my very first stop by at Ken’s Kitchen, I came across it to end up being disappointing and finished up giving Ken’s Cooking area only 1 1 superstar. That’s the initial and the final time I'll patronise Ken’s Kitchen.
