Our tour guideline told us to test Kuching’s famous regional dessert, the “Gula Apong” ice-lotion. He said that the store was within walking length from Abell Resort, our home for another 2 days. We made a decision to take his suggestions & found the shopeasily. The time had been 6 pm, yet it had been popular. The gula apong ice-cream is really a gentle serve palm sugars flavoured ice-cream that is included with a free of charge topping of one's choice at a realistic price of RM2 & RM5 for a little & big glass, respectively. You possess 3 toppings to pick from & I had selected Nestum. Although a generous dollop of palm glucose syrup was furthermore included, I didn’t think it is very sweet. Sadly, the consistency of the flavoured ice-cream wasn’t as clean as much as I'd like it to be. But it is really a nice modification though. I'd give it another try! And I experienced just discovered that it is obtainable in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur!

They have an indicator out front saying "Best Ice Cream AROUND" but that might be up for dialogue, I'm not convinced. They only offer two flavours of ice lotion, and only 1 was obtainable when I proceeded to go. The palm glucose ice lotion was unusualbut delicious though, and the vanilla flakes had been a good touch, the size best for sharing. If you want to though, there's another place several doors down.
