Good place to possess a taste of Dayak food. Menu is personal explanatory simply need to brave up and attempt their offerings. Cost is reasonable.

The signboard outside promises authentic Dayak cuisine, and even you obtain that homey vibe inside - the serving meals and plates/cutlery produced me feel as if I was eating in the home! The cooking can be rustic - nothing at all fanciful or fusion, simply good plain cooking. We'd manok pansuh (poultry cooked in bamboo), jani masak lada hitam (dark pepper pork), and midin belacan (jungle ferns with shrimp paste). The manok pansuh was great, however the pork was a little sweet rather than peppery enough for the tastes and the midin belacan had been a trifle watery. The food is intended to be shared (you can find hardly any one-plate/bowl meals), however the portions are only designed for 2. It's great if you are ordering other dishes aswell...up to certain point. I could imagine that for a lot more than 4 individuals, you'd have to purchase 2 plates of midin belacan if you would like greater than a spoonful! In addition they serve langkau and tuak (native alcohol), but we ordered juices instead (they provide cucumber/lime, pineapple/ginger, calamansi/tonic, and another that I've forgotten but which probably has lime inside it). Overall, I loved the place and the meals, and I'd certainly want to go back usually and try everything in the menu!

Great food, nice support, cheap and clear. IMHO much less good as Top Place. Try out the ferns and the veggie dish.

Having the ability to visit and consume native good and wines was this type of good experience. I had a normal chicken meal even though I thought the tastes weren't for me personally, I nevertheless enjoyed it. Your wine is excellent and I really like the images around thewalls of indigenous people.
