We attended the RCS annual Deepavali charity lunch 2018 on Sunday, 25th November. Residents from two charitable homes, which house disadvantaged children, were invited to wait the lunch gratis while members paid their full dues. There is music plus some dancing. A magician wowed thechildren along with his acts and gave away large packs of gifts - mostly chocolates and balloons. A number of the children performed dances to Bollywood music while all attending members took part in raffles - most electing to provide away their prizes to the gust-children. Rewarding and enriching.

We invited around 20 guests - family-friends with children - for a birthday dinner. The RCS food-and-beverages manager exercised a buffet menu from the collection of Chinese, Malaysian and Indian dishes, booked the Bistro off for the guests, decorated the cafewith balloons and flowers, and provided starters and the buffet dishes as ordered. The RCS kitchen will not offer cakes, and we'd to bring inside our own. However the general ambience, and dedicated service by designated staff, and the fare, were an excellent combination for a fantastic evening with friends. We were pleased primarily because our guests were, too.

It has been a couple of years since i have visited RCS. The venue has already established a substantial renovation and feels a lot more ideal for a gathering of friends or family. The meals served is good. However, the most important criticism was the waiter. He was justnot fit for the work. He brought the meals with no cutlery, then your drink order was forgotten, and he was rude to his fellow waiter while watching customers. This isn't the type of experience anyone wants.

A couple we've known for many years - actually, the husband and I visited exactly the same school for six years in the 1960s - visited around within the last week of October. We took them around Klang Valley and something of ourdinner trips took us to the Royal Commonwealth Society in Damansara Heights. The recently refurbished premises will have several new or improved facilities for members and their guests. After drinks and canapes in the lounge, we went in to the air-conditioned bistro for supper. My pal liked the steak and his wife, her lamb dish. Service was attentive and the fare, fine. In comparison to other similar eateries in KL, the costs at the RCS, even for non-members, were exceptionally low. In a nutshell, it was a nice evening that ended with a satisfying meal.

The VIP guest who was simply after the President of a political celebration and a cabinet associate who retired from politics in earlier 2017 to devote himself to literary, scholarly and charitable pursuits, had hosted me in the last three years at a number of conferences and socialengagements he sponsored as Chairman of a think container. Lately, I invited him to lunch time at the Bistro at the Royal Commonwealth Community. My guest arrived, as is usually his wont, punctually, and narrated his engagements since we final fulfilled at the Royal Lake Golf club as his guest. With this day, Lunch time was offered at the Bistro. My guest eschews fowl- and meat-meals of any range but luckily for me personally, the Bistro acts a variety of seafood and vegetarian fare. We were, therefore, in a position to tuck right into a platter of blended seafood- and vegetarian starters. He favored roasted tofu. I suggested salmon for the primary course which he approved. I furthermore ordered a mixed veggies side program, which he appeared to like. Washed straight down with a Chilean White colored, the food and the accompanying discussion made period fly. I had been delighted with the Bistro's services and considered my guest discovered it a good break from his extremely busy schedule.

A morning conference held at the quaint silent club was an ideal venue for an exclusive discussion. Bukit Damansara area is hassle-free. I had a combined combination of fruit drinks consisting cucumber, celery and apple company accompanied by teh tarik Malaysia milk tea. I stayed onfor another lunch time appointment and purchased the breaded Zuchini courgettes with salad accompanied by the pan fried seabass and bak choy. We'd a scoop of vanilla ice lotion with cappuccino. The laundry were very well ready and we were completely satisfied. I made a decision to takeaway the char kuey teow, whitened fried Mee hoon (strongly suggested) and hokkien noodles. The full total bill found slightly significantly less than RM100. Support is very good.
