It is a simple neighborhood restaurant occupying two shop lots in Bandar Tun Razak. It’s not really grand or flashy, but why is it great will be the foods and the friendly individuals who manage the place. There exists a good selection of dishes to select fromthe layers of food trays. From the assam seafood to meats gulais, curries and rendangs, etc. The vegetables options are usually grilled, sautéed, in gravies, spiced or simply served as salads. Often, there’ll be considered a selection of side dishes like roti jala, cucur udang (prawn cakes), local pancakes, etc. to check the main meal. We also benefit from the variety of desserts by means of community kueh (puddings, fritters, etc.) and a cooling sirap limau (lime syrup) or iced lime tea with the tasty meal. Right after peak hours, we are able to order from the menu of a la carte e.g. fried rice (nasi goreng) or noodles (mi goreng), or in soups or gravies, etc. The people are wonderful. Mak Siti (the founder) herself will undoubtedly be serving the meals or mingling with clients in her motherly way. Her loved ones are her resources; hospitable and gracious. The long-serving staff are educated, helpful and efficient. It is a hidden gem the locals have already been enjoying for a long time. It’s a favorite location for us to take pleasure from simple, genuine, Javanese Malay meals and hospitality.
