After 5 months returned here for lunch with family. Went with the previous traditional dishes. 1. long time haven't had old traditional dishes 2. get to equate to the original shop Ordered phei pha ngap (roast duck). Since prepared toorder other dishes, simply order half portion. Mix fry kailan with roast pork, seafood paste/balls with wantan noodles in soup, and fried rice. They suggested 2 types of seafood fried rice. Do you know the 2 forms of fish? Response, anchovies and salted seafood. The duck is crispy and juicy, that is very much better than the initial, kailan with roast pork is great, fish paste/balls with wantan noodles in soup is great, and the two 2 forms of fish fried rice is outstanding. DEfinitely will keep coming back for even more dishes to try, specifically the old traditional dishes

Then I remembered a buddy told me some time ago that a band of relatives and employees from Sek Yuen Cafe started a fresh Sek Yuen Restaurant within Jalan Sg Besi. Therefore, off we visited THE BRAND NEW Sek Yuen Restaurant. The restaurant is airconditioned and brightly lit unlike the initial in Jalan Pudu. We purchased their signature Pipa Duck and Heavy Fried Chicken Drumlets along with Curry Fish Mind, HandmadeTauhu with Chai Poh and 2 Vegetable meals. Old Cucumber Soup had been on the house. The Pipa Duck was as effective as that in the initial Sek Yuen - crispy epidermis externally and tender juicy flesh inside. Good too may be the Deep Fried Poultry Drumlets as the Curry Fish Mind made us ate even more rice. The Home made Tauhu was silky clean. It was a really satisfying dinner. And the bill found significantly less than 300 Malaysian Ringgit for 8 pax. That has been quite definitely below our expectation. We shall definitely be time for New Sek Yuen Eating place again....soon.

I am another generations in my own family, but still hungry for meals cooked by way of a chef at age lately 80s. Must attempt ‘PeiPa Duck’, Steamed Chinese Cabbage with dried scallop gravy, deep fried boxing poultry, fish mind curry, ‘ka heong veggie & more.Some dishes must pre-order since it take hours to get ready. Get recommendations from woman boss. She’s been right here since 1960s. It recreate 80s nostalgia when I was nevertheless a kid who looking forward to dessert (longan drinking water with jelly).
