Lei Cha (methods pounded tea) aka Lui Cha/Thunder Rice/Hakka Tea Rice is really a vegetarian meal, the tea beverage gruel as well as various veggie health supplements. The meals is clean to function as palate and nutritional healthful. It's the best I've tasted. Others could be oilybut that one is oil-much less. Don't miss it in case you are acquainted with this food.

It looks quite difficult to obtain a desk here for Sunday dinners with out a reservation. Company is great, and the waiters and waitresses are usually reasonably pleasant and prompt making use of their service. The meals carries authentic Hakka flavours. Among the strongly suggested itemsto order will be the "lui cha". Literally signifying "pounded tea", or in a few renditions, "thunder tea" (because of the loud sound produced when pounding the elements), this dish will be rice served with different condiments, with a plate of accompanying broth that mesmerises using its unusual green color and flavor. This dish may be the epitome of Hakka cuisine, especially for the Hor Poh clan. By the way, if you cannot get enough of this green colour soup, you might keep these things top it up for you personally anytime! Various other dishes we ordered are the "salty noodles", "braised pork belly with preserved veggies", "tofu filled with pork and salted fish". All tasted superb and none tasted at all extreme, aside from extremely delicious. Highly recommended.

It really is nice to move somewhere as the vegetarian and not lose out on the restaurant's speciality! Hor Poh can be an air conditioned, informal eating Chinese café with Lei Cha (RM12), a variety of rice and vegetarian condiments soaked in a tea broth. There werelots of additional options for meat fans, which includes tom yum fried rice (RM7) and braised pork with guy tau / steamed bun (RM16). Very affordable. Four folks ate for RM65 (US$15).

For Hakka or Vegetarian lovers, here you will get authentic lui cha along with other well-known Hakka cuisines like abacus seeds, and in addition their well-known homemade Hakka fry noodle for reasonable cost. The place is filled with individuals in the neighbourhood. Perform test it out for.

Heard a lot concerning this restaurant and made a decision to take a look but has been disillusioned. It was just 6.15pm on the Saturday, it had been packed, and you need to await a table. With like scenario this should be a good cafe to patronise. Therestaurant isn't big and have just 15 tables of varying sizes. Place is fairly clean and support is good. Meals was served rather quick and serving part is reasonable. The significantly discussed 'Lui Cha" had not been as effective as claimed and the only real good thing had been the soup... The "Yong Tau Foo" and the "Tung Po Pork" has been also mediocre despite all of the hype... I'd say that meals with creditable quality ought to be the "Salted seafood minced pork" pattie and "Fried Fu Yee nice potatoes leaves".
