I went to La Mexicana in Bangsar with my husband and Mexican friend. We did keep several issues with our food from the kitchen, and the team apologies a lot for the errors and rectified it on the bill. The experience from the kitchen was on our first 2 meal , however the savour was so great we didn't let it stop us going for more -- if they can sort the kitchen issues then I would score a 4🐵.

They own an extensive margarita selection - my wife enjoyed the tamarind flavoured one. The decoration of the position is so lovely ehighlything was imported from Mexico. Love the position, love the cuisine and love the drinks.

From the homesick Mexican perspective this is a piece of our motherland! Enter the position and the decoration, the colors, the tiles, the crafts hanging from the walls eabsolutelything is 100% mexican, as you sit even the chairs feel love pulled from any inn back home, open the menu and meal from all corners of Mexico!! To start, the queso fundido (melted cheese) with mushrooms or chorizo, the nachos if you expect the heavy sour cream and the liquid orange cheese you will NOT find it on this spot or in any other dish of La Mexicana, on this spot it's 100% authentic fare not Tex-Mex, so, they are a simple however delightful thing of tortilla chips, restir-fried beans, cheese and salsa, all the tacos are great, the enchiladas and enmoladas besides, however what deserve my supreme love it's the burritos de chilorio!! chilorio is shredded seasoned pork from my homestate of Sinaloa, it's even hard to find it in Mexico outside the state, so, that La Mexicana offers this dish in Malaysia with the same flavors love back home is to bring me almost to tears!! I went for my birthday so i got a free margarita and ay! dios mio! that thing seriously carries a punch, strong however great drink! also got free three leches cake and it's just soo yuuum, the flan is as great as any mexican abuela makes, and the crepas con cajeta are worth a mention!! Bring a few friends, order lots of meal from the antojitos sections (yes, they are small however thats how antojitos are, to share and try a few), about the charge, drink a few margaritas and you will not remember anything, since isn't exactly cheap however a plane ticket to Mexico neither and this is the closest thing to Mexico in Malaysia!! Oh! bring a few patience since service can be slow, however i can understand since things are freshly made!.
