Nasi lemak is a rice dish commonly served with fried egg, fried chicken, fried egg, roasted nuts, boiled egg, ikan bilis (anchovies), and slices of cucumber.

MEE CURRY

Served in rice noodles, egg noodles or a mix of both in coconut-based curry broth. Tofu, chicken, shrimp, and bean sprouts are added on top of the dish.

LONTONG SAYUR LODEH KUAH KACANG

Lontong sayur lodeh is a vegetable dish cooked in rich coconut milk. The dish consists of a variety of vegetables one prefers, tempeh and tofu. Turmeric is used to give it a beautiful shade of yellow.

LEMPENG KELAPA SAMBAL TUMIS

Pek Nga is one of the famous traditional food in Kedah. Eat it with sambal tumis ikan bilis, fish curry, coconut sticky rice, and dried fish.

NASI DAGANG IKAN TONGKOL

Rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry and extra ingredients such as pickled cucumber and carrots.

MIHUN GORENG

Its shape like noodles but thinner. In English it is called rice vermicelli or rice noodles or rice sticks. Made from rice flour, cook with chili paste, chicken, vegetables and some seasoning.

Made from rice flour and eaten with gravy. Usually the dough of rice flour is covered with a lid and cooked. When hardened, it will be rolled up to length and ready to be served.

FRIED KUEW TEOW

Stir fried Chinese-inspired rice noodle. Main ingredients kuew teow, light and dark soy sauce, chilli, belachan, whole prawns.

MEE GORENG

Style of stir fried noodle dish. It is made with thin yellow noodles stir fried in cooking oil with garlic, onion or shallots, fried prawn, chicken, beef, chili, Cabbage, tomatoes, and egg.
