Kim Lian Kee is probably the most famous restaurant in Petaling Street. I have been avoiding them because of the bad experiences I heard from friends. However, I still decided to check them out last weekend. As expected, it turned out to be a huge mistake.

Soooooo moist, guriihhh dan nagihhh. Mienya gede2 tapi engga keras, kalo pasta istilahnya aldente kali ya? 🙈 porky tapi ga eneg. Sebagai saran, ga usah pesen menu nasi, pesen aja mie macem2 lebih puasss

Heard that Kim Lian Kee is well known of its Hokkien Noodles. I think it's overrated and not as delicious as what I heard from. Prefer Hokkien Mee Uptown more.

The place is famous for its noodles, especially their hokkien mee. To be honest, I just found it above average. Worth to try at least once. Still prefer others out there but not bad nonetheless

Restoran Kim Lian Kee marked itself as the birthplace of Hokkien mee in KL. Set at the junction in the center of Petaling Street, it is a corner lot restaurant that is over 100 years old. Locals say it is one of the best (if not the best) Hokkien mee joints in the city. Although Restoran Kim Lian Kee’s menu is fairly extensive and includes typical tai chow (dishes) to be eaten with rice, it is the fat yellow Hokkien mee noodles stir-fried and doused in delicious and thick soy sauce gravy that draws in the crowd.

Found it at Google , said it was the best Hokkian Mee at town. I will said its true, the noodles taste good, black sauce is good, not too sweet . Meat is so little only 2 pcs prawn and bak Poo ( Fried Pork Fat) .

This place opened at 11 am today. We had brunch upstairs at the air conditioned dining room. Eating downstairs maybe more authentic but it’s warm and humid. we had the famous Hokkian mee, pork soup mee, and roast pork with rice. Quite nice but nothing special. We had the water chestnut sago for dessert.

Food here was OK. I had the Hokkien mee, didn't have enough wok hei in my opinion but was generally average. My friend had the Loh mee and he really enjoyed it. The service was horrible though. The workers didn't seem at all interested in serving us. Wouldn't come back if i had a choice.

WAS very delicious, but not anymore. The noodle was not hot served at all, yet still many people going there just to eat. Should get some improvement
