Let me say right away that the tastes here were good -- however, I'm also big on textures and I wasn't a fan of the textures here. Specifically, I prefer dried out tempura, and I understood when I purchased that the shrimp tempura inmy dish will be placed into the broth with the udon noodles; this led to the tempura around both shrimp getting as well soggy for my liking. Furthermore, I believed the udon noodles themselves had been overcooked, departing a pasty sensation in my own mouth. I did benefit from the broth...although I felt it had been just a little thin for my liking and lacked the depth of flavor I keep company with broths in dishes such as this. All having said that, I say once again that the flavors right here -- like the tempura shrimp and the udon -- were great. The textures simply turned me off, regrettably.
