A dearth of high quality Mexican food consigned myself to composing off KL, regardless of the many "TexMex" themed establishments in the town. Total mediocrity at greatest, phony and rubbish at most severe. The random sojourn to Mid Valley Megamall led me with their rather obscure 2nd foodcourt(close to HP, or directly above Toys'R'Us). Nestled over the Drinks Isle will be Giegit's Western. It's insufficient advertising, and advertising of an extremely vague "Western" menus greet the punter, but scan through the extensive (more than 50 Burger combos!) listing and you will find their Mexican meals, the normal Burritos, Fajitas, Soft Tacos, Enchiladas, etc along with some United states and Continental favourites. All aforementioned products were delicious; unassumingly offered but bursting with taste. Seriously, this is instead honest Mexican street food at it's most good. Fantastic value, as well; at around USD $5 for a beginner and main. The cook, Irham also is undoubtedly a terrific bloke and takes requests. Give it a go. Among the last couple of that deserve it.
