Elegantology Gallery & Eating place is really a concept that mixes gastronomy and style under one roofing. Helmed by Johnny Fua and Sherson Lian, the cuisine will be Asian inspired with shock elements in a single dish. This cafe cum couture gallery offers exclusive men’s style and accessoriesby local style designers - a fascinating dining experience, I have to say. At a food tasting lately, I was served a four course dinner comprising starter, soup, primary and dessert. The amuse bouche had been a whitened gazpacho with salmon tartare. We were informed to consume the salmon tartare initial, accompanied by the gazpacho. My starter of Hokkaido scallop was finished with finesse and the salmon caviar topping gave it a supplementary depth inside flavour. I liked the way the duo used seafood skin crackers to include texture and comparison to the dish. I actually loved the soup that evening - foie gras veloute with smoked garlic toast. Also the name sounds attractive, at the very least to me. This is was pure and basic, yet intense. Following a palate cleanser of interest fruit granite, we tucked in to the main span of our selection - I chosen the US Dark Cod and my hubby, the Expert Kobe MB10+. I liked my major course much better - the cod was sharp round the edges and the flesh was meltingly tender; nearly buttery. The kobe has been tender and flavourful from the marbling, and offered with a aspect of fried glutinous rice and Muscovy duck. Pretty good, however the cod fared much better in my books. Dessert has been the duo’s rendition of baked cheesecake, served with fireworks crumble and kumquat confit inside tarragon infused syrup. It had been not merely tasty, but enjoyable to eat. Particularly when the crumble crackled somewhat in the mouth. All in, it had been an excellent dining experience for all of us both. That mentioned, I will have to revisit this put on my own to notice if the meals is consistently this great.

Went to go through the hype but has been utterly disappointed. Where good dining places are ubiquitous, elegantology didn't deliver. We started with the scallops that have been good nonetheless it all transpired hill from there. My major (pasta) was undercooked, an excessive amount of herbs that maskedany flavor and the clams had been dry and hard. My friends weren't happy with theirs either. We didn't finish our deserts. Service however was great because of Ram who kept people suitably entertained. That is one restaurant I am pleased to avoid in future.

I am back Malaysia for just a few days a year, therefore each meal counts. I made a decision to give Elegantology a chance after viewing Sherson Lian and Johnny Fua on the Asian Foods Channel. They did appeared like a promising duo. With a namelike "Elegantology", normally, I expected elegance. Nevertheless, I do wonder if they last stepped feet into Elegantology to see the meals they serve. The complimentary breads and accompaniments was a good gesture. The loaf of bread was hot but a tad stodgy. I acquired the truffled cauliflower soup which lacked entire body. The "truffle" component in the dish's title over claims as there no real truffles but truffle infused essential oil. Actually that, the "truffle" element was sorely skipped. The Caesar salad, just like the soup, had been without most departments aside from the egg that was gooey at the heart just how I love it. We had the stewed duck with rice and sambal. The stewed/braised duck tasted such as a distant cousin of the Chinese pork trotter in vinegar. I could appreciate that the duck has been intentionally prepared on the bone, however the parts seemed like these were hacked aimlessly and the fatty epidermis was instead unappealing. The sambal had been a tad as well salty and I'm uncertain it did very much for the dish. The "elegantology" factor is definately not sight. There was a free of charge dessert that i sincerely appreciated simply because a gesture, but wouldn't order if once again it were in the menu. It didn't beckon to become finished. Service could possibly be inattentive regardless of only 2 tables of two getting there for lunch time. The "crowd" could very well be a reflection of the meals as the relaxation of Publika has been bustling at lunchtime. The prices are, initially, are very sensible for an establishment like this in Publika. If the meals lived around its namesake, I'd end up being glad to cover. Unfortunately, the restaurant requires a bit of function to live around self-labelled conditions such as for example "elegantology" and "gastronomy" Come on guys, that can be done better!
