I actually tried the platter with plenty of different items also it was all similarly amazing. Great genuine Javanese/Malaysian foods. The staff was very nice too. Strongly suggested!

This restaurant is one particular hidden gems in the town center. And I really believe among critical factors for achievement in a restaurant may be the menus and frankly this restaurant’s menu is great. The standard of the nasi ambeng (desk rice) is excellent andvery well come up with. It has a little bit of everything which includes a good helping of rice, potatoes, fried fish making use of their specialized chilies, eggplant, serunding, salted egg, Indonesian crackers amongst others and an array of poultry curry. For rm60 (significantly less than usd15). It’s rather awesome in the event that you consider all the junk food nonsense provided in the town for a bomb. We additional orders of pucuk paku salad, tok rendang (beef stewed dried all night in tasty spices) and my own fav Soto Ayam. And all had been really fantastic. We actually enjoyed our particular date in Congkak and I would suggest this quite extremely to food lovers who would like a taste of great foods. The thing that would create the knowledge better is quicker program. Uncertain what’s happening in your kitchen but felt it may be faster.

We'd the appetizer platter with limpia goreng (much like springtime rolls), beef satay, satong (calamari), and begedil daging (potato cakes). We furthermore had gulai pucuk (crazy fern in a spicy coconut sauce). To consume, we'd rose syrup. First Malaysian flavours, nicely spiced, intricateflavours. Our helpful waiter told us tales about Borneo and his amount of time in Kuala Lumpur. Beautiful decoration with an deck and inside a/c. This restaurant is on a side street, very near to the Journal hotel. Never to be missed!

5 of us wished to try this outlet after their YouTube ad went viral. It had been indeed a worthy selection. Sumptuous selection of authentic Javanese cooking offerings, reminiscing my childhood kampung feast. Aside from the nasi ambeng, the tauhu bergedil can be a must attempt.A little pricy though for locals however in the finish, we enjoyed everything concerning this restaurant - the incredible food, friendly employees and pleasant atmosphere. There's ample parking space opposite the outlet but usually do not drive during rush hour if not you'll get caught in massive jam.

Came here for later dinner on 8pm on Saturday. We have been the first customer so when we left, you can find another table of 4 there celebrating birthday. Parking can be found opposite the cafe chargeable are RM10. The Indian personnel of the parking are usually rude tobe honest I had flying seafood @ RM 48 and Daging Salai Percik @ RM45. The flying seafood are tilapia seafood fried to perfection . Offered with sambal terasi and kicap cili. Strongly suggest this dish, ideal for kids as my girl loves it. The daging salai aren't that good because the meat are dried out. Offered with coconut milk with spices, kinda watery rather than thick kind. I desire congkak could add more dessert in to the menu. Services are attentive and pleasant. Price aren't cheap here though. Similar to some top quality malay and nusantara food

We were extremely excited to split our fast with this mothers at Congkak KL since we haven’t really been out there for a while because of covid. We were furthermore excited as evaluation mentioned that Congkak work great ambience and incredible food. We made a reservationand also pre-ordered the laundry on Wednesday for Saturday supper. Everything was great, and the employees is helpful via Whatsapp. Etc Saturday we went and 2 hours before breakfast period, we dropped by to the cafe to verify our reservation and the employees acknowledged and our desk are ready. However, when we get to the restaurant around 6:30pm, items are began to go downhill. What we pre-ordered didn’t arrived therefore i think, “it’s great, because it’s still earlier”. But at 7.00pm we even now didn’t get our beverages. Mind you, we've two elderly mothers and fasting. So after that at 7:30pm we checked all of the tables around us obtained their food however, not us! I think it is really unacceptable because they can’t even offer the easiest dish or at the very least white rice however, not, I possess to get right up and head to them and have them for our foods. No apologies, no attention contact from the supervisor as well as from the staff. Our food ultimately came, the food isn't bad (I had much better), and we were among the last several diners as the meals was arrived LATE despite the fact that we preorder it and also came 2 hours previous to be sure of our table on a single day. All in all, it'll be my very first and last with Congkak. It’s unfortunate because I must say i want to such as this place and would support local eating place but with assistance I don’t believe I’ll be back. Furthermore if Congkak isn't ready for Ramadan group, don’t bother, you may consider buffet but it’s beats the objective of being “different”.

We found have lunch time & I ordered sup tulang noodle. I acquired a cool meatball noodle soup with a lousy flavor. The vermicelli had not been properly cooked. Also, the cashier had been rude.
