Despite there being another very established banana leaf restaurant in this hood, Aunty Manju opened up to much fanfare and people were raving about its curry mutton. Since it's not too far away, we decided to come here for a lunch. Although it was a public holiday, parking was scarce and so was empty tables when we got there. When we finally did get a seat, it took some time before our order was taken. Eventually, the food arrive but that also took a bit of repeated requests. Business was that good.

Heard alot of about this place hence gave it a try. Worst banana leave experince. i am picky with banana leaf meals as they are full of carbs & this was a waste. The Dalca was too watery - suspect they had mixed water after cooking it. The chicken varuval tasted like tandori chicken with only 4 small pieces for RM 8.50. Nothing like a varuval. Overall, the vegs lack salt/taste.Only plus point is that their bru coffee was excellent but priced at RM 4.50.food here is overpriced & lack taste.

Aunty Manju’s is that new kid on the block. I have visited every Banana Leaf Rice place in that row in TTDI but this is by far, one of the most hip and modern places. The ambience is great. Usually very busy during noon, I went on Monday night and it wasn’t really busy. Finally able to devour some delicious banana leaf. It was good!I loved the Crab Curry, that spice! Boyfriend and I really enjoyed our dinner. Why only 4 Stars? I wish they had fried snake gourd. I tried to ask one of the servers here and they didn’t know what it was. The manager I think told me they do not have Fried Snake Gourd. The condiments that comes with the rice are yummy too. The fried tengirri was fresh and it was huge as well. My lovely chicken 65 was piping hot when it arrived but I could not wait to dig in. Chunks of chicken, fried to perfection. That marinade. Would definitely visit again, maybe during lunch this time. Such happy tummies leaving this restaurant.

Not great in terms of choices for a vegetarian. That being said, their tofu sambal was memorable for me. The food here has a home cook feel to it. Service staff and ambience are definitely top tier in their league.

Their tofu sambal, fried sotong and fried chicken is amazing. Mutton varuval (idk how to spell it) taste so good and packed with spices and flavours. Amazing curry that taste thick and flavourful. This place have not yet disappoint me. Just that one of the staff there aren't so attentive. Their new manager are very efficient and interacts with the customer at times. So far its one of the best banana leaf I've had. Nirwana and Devi's have not yet come close to this place.

After 20 mins from the time I ordered, roti canai still hadn't arrive. Horrible, slow service. Waiters running up and down but nothing seems to be done about my food despite reminding them more than five times. This is the second receiving bad service at Aunty Manju's.

Great home cooked Indian BLR food with lots of side dishes to choose from, there is fried to curried, seafood to chicken to mutton. And their biryani (chicken and/or mutton) is one of the tastiest around as well, but only available on select days of the week. The BLR is a full meal by itself, which comes with - Rice (white or Indian), 4 vegetables, Resam, 5 different curries to choose from (sambar, chicken, fish, keera or onion), Papadam and a piece of dessert (usually kesari) to top off you meal.My favourite side dishes are the fried chicken or fried fish cutlets and do try either the masala chicken or mutton.  Now, if you are a mutton bone marrow lover, you gotta try Aunty Manju's Mutton Bone Marrow Curry, it's a dish to die for.And to cap it all off at the end ,  order a Fresh Cows milk Bru coffee or their Masala Tea. Now that's a full hearty Indian BLR meal.

The fish curry, fried chicken, fried fish, squid and lamb shank was awesome! But service was a bit off. Only 1 worker to take orders & most of them can’t understand malay & english. But again, the food was so so so good! Definitely will come back 😄
