Fairly quiet family Chinese restaurant. Halal. Gets company from tour businesses but is normally conducive for quiet family members dinners around a normal Malaysian Chinese restaurant menus. Kids could have fun considering the live life seafood in tanks. Plenty of space to perform around as therestaurant will be area of the Straits Look at Hotel. Affordability if you appear at menu choice, quality of foods and service, and cost.

Been eating here for a long time, when it had been previously referred to as "Jaws" and "Straits View". This is among the default restaurants for the family functions-birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It is also halal, producing it possible for lunches with the employees. I've been surprised atthe amount of Indian dining places in TA's set of Top Ten dining places in JB. The Grand Gem, for just one, definitely doesn't deserve to end up being there. Where will be the Chinese restaurants, I used to wonder. In the end, JB is probably greatest understand for it's Malaysian-Chinese seafood cuisine. My theories? Indian dining places are usually frequented by English talking folks who have enough time, and definitely inclination, to create a review. Plus they are likely to err privately of caution. Chinese restaurants are frequented by individuals who are probably not amply trained in English, are most likely cynical, and have virtually no time to write an assessment. Contact me a bigot after that. Anyway, which means that a lot of lovely Chinese seafood dining places are overlooked. Or simply, that's the concept. To prevent escalating costs and dropping standards... Anyway, this eating place has big seating areas which are usually thoroughly clean and comfortable. It acts very good Chinese seafood meals, with a good collection of alcoholic beverages. We especially enjoy their roast poultry and prawn dishes. There is also enough vegetarian meals to help keep our "vege" family happy. It has, nevertheless, become expensive. Lately, the restaurant has began catering to huge tour groups, but which has not really ruined our dining knowledge so far. Staff, a lot of whom speak great English, are usually friendly and ready to help patrons make options from the menu. Highly recommended.
