We enjoyed our two latest appointments to Yin's Sourdough in Ipoh quite definitely. Good food and great service. Clean (& clear toilets), comfortable and great parking on-site. We've tried a number of items on the menu and we actually liked their Signature Bruschetta, EggBenny Pizza and Spaghetti Aglio Olio. Furthermore attempted their Cafe Latte, Cappuccino & Avacado Banana .... all excellent. You can also purchase breads and we like their 3-seed WHOLE WHEAT GRAINS loaf. Good selection of menu products including weekday sets (value) and affordable. Highly recommended to use.

The Pizza: Okay the dough is okay, too soft but We had worst in Asia. The problem is the toppings: No dark olives, no capers, no 4 cheeses, no anchovies, no parma ham,...Just strange things like satay, slower cooked lamb,...Not for me personally The Sourdough bread:Bakeries back in Belgium open at 7am and folks come to obtain wonderful, breads, baguettes, croissants,...Apart from three or four 4 in KL, inside Malaysia, you will end up lucky if you discover fresh loaf of bread before noon. Within the last yrs I have sought out decent high quality breads in Ipoh in vain. Unfortunately no exception right here. I experienced some vague expectations. The sourdough breads I purchased is soft, lighting, chewy,..nothing beats a Western sourdough loaf of bread. Too bad. General probably acceptable for the Chinese clients but definitely not for me.

We are big enthusiasts of Yin's on Damansara Uptown; so when we found away there is a branch in Ipoh, we thought it will be a great spot to celebrate my dad in-law's birthday and deal with him for some good Western meals (he's a typicalMalaysian-Chinese grandpa who generally applies to Chinese restaurants only). But .... unfortunately .... the offerings are very different from the main one at Yin's PJ: For instance, there is absolutely no home-smoked salmon on the menus; and in addition, they said the espresso bar was closed therefore i couldn't possess any espresso. Remember this is only 730 at night! But anyway, maybe it had been a blessing in disguise - the coffee possibly wouldn't be as effective as Yin DU in any case (sour grapes here :-)) Also, service had been insipid. The eating place was uncrowded, also it seems all of the wait-staff went hide-out in your kitchen. We in fact had to obtain up and go discover you to definitely take our orders. Next, the waiters simply brought drink and food and plomped them unceremoniously in a random put on the table. To be good, you can say our anticipations were high in line with the Yin's PJ DU knowledge with great foods and great assistance. At Yin's Ipoh, you obtain decent food and incredibly average service; and value.
