Lanna Thai is currently at Ipoh Soho (close to Weil Resort). It's no more at Taman Ipoh Timur. The restaurant includes a modern feel and will get quite occupied during weekends. Therefore go early or anticipate to wait a bit. We ordered several items:the tom yum soup, pandan poultry, and omelette were done well and tasty. The pork salad had been a little monotonous and wasn't that wonderful, the natural curry was wealthy but lacked fragrance. So that it was a mixed encounter. Obviously, the title of my review appears like it does not really seem sensible. Ok I'll elaborate. But,we digress and we went and we ate and we liked the meals tremendously! The services rendered was superb, the wait employees attentive. Being in exactly the same market myself, I was happy with the spot-on assistance. Food arrived very quickly and virtually all at exactly the same time. We probably ordered a significant amount of ha nonetheless it was really worth it. My own favourite needs to be the grilled pork throat. Soooo good. Also the "nam jhim" or dipping sauce, is genuine. Similar to my time back Bangkok....sigh...! I purchased the sticky rice with mango for dessert as soon as again, sooooo great! I believe we ate an excessive amount of for two ha! Overall, we had steamed seafood with lime fruit juice, a vege dish, the obvious tom yum seafood, beef salad or must i say laarb neua, cup noodles and pineapple rice. Ok a little complaint... the floss garnishing on the pineapple rice - no. Simply no. And go simple on the "pong kari" for the rice as it's quite overpowering. Overall, the perfect lunch in a sunny Sunday! Last word of helpful advice....Please keep up with the quality of the meals and the service! Khop khun ka! We'll be badly..,.👍🏼

Had early supper here about 6.30pm with the household and was amazed by the group already dining inside of. Waited about a quarter-hour and was amazed with the decoration and ambience. A lot of young staff who have been friendly. Food was excellent therefore i was surprisedby the first negative reviews. Certainly a definitive Thai foods location that earns my two thumbs upward!

That is our first visit to Ipoh and were surprised to find a nicely decorated modern Thai restaurant close to the hotel we stayed. The serving staff were mainly young but pleasant. We were amazed how soon the meals had been dished onto the desk. I ama big enthusiast of apparent tom yum seafood soup. I love it that the seafood had been fresh and soup isn't overly spicy. We furthermore purchased the egg plant that includes a well balanced gentle with crunchy bite that is unlike those standard soggy prepared recipe. The deep fried seafood was extremely appetizing and tasted refreshing & was yummy. We furthermore purchased the ice blended coconut and ice pandan beverage. The beverages don't have artifical flavorinngs rather they used the complete coconut and freshly brewed pandan. We have been overall very content with our dinner and the ambience that is really affordability. This restaurant appeared to attract more friends and family, less touristy therefore we had been fortunate to possibility upon this yummy and authtentic Thai eating place with a good ambience. It was an excellent first food knowledge in Ipoh and we'll sure be back right here again.

In all honesty, it's kind of difficult to find Thai eating place around Ipoh area. We usually dine at Lanna Thai and the meals is delicious. We've tried a variety of meals and also have been pretty pleased with most meals! The decoration within the cafe is lovely and personnel are helpful.

Pineapple Rice is delicious and served with floss meats the d pineapple. BBQ pork has been offered with chilli sauce and juicy. It really is well cooked early morning glory or kangkung with seafood paste or belacan with generous helping of garlic. The laundry blended properly with pineapplerice. The support is fast and can come again for some other delicious meals. Jasmine tea had been fragrant once you drink it.

now This place sucks - overpriced and tasteless. Not genuine at all. Shameful Thai eating place. The mango and sticky rice has been disgusting. They used regular rice with an increase of water to phony glutinous rice. Mango had been tasteless. Manager / Owner didn't bother to describe whyit wasn’t genuine and waiters were performing like they didn't realize. I didn’t bother going for a image as it’s not with it. There exists a lot of better foods in Ipoh that is a meals paradise but Lanna Thai is really a con job.

First time here. Huge grey tables & chairs. Foods came reasonably quickly. Food portion sizes were big. Affordability. Wow dishes we ordered were the Sotong inside Lime sauce and Otak Otak. Great flavours, loaded a punch. Seafood cakes were disappointing. Not really authentic sufficiently. Lackof desserts, only 2 on menu. Staff might have been friendlier.
