This is amazing that people could still experience this type of restaurant in the 21st century. We chanced upon this cafe while searching for places for supper; the area was full also it indicated that it offers its following. We felt wewere back in its history some 60+ years back as if nothing at all had changed. The decoration had been probably kept just how it had been and the traditional facade of the constructing stood the check of time. The meals old school and was tasty. We enjoyed the previous fashion method of cooking. The waiters were friendly plus they spoke in Cantonese dialect. We were amazed by their friendly conversation with their clients and their old style hospitality. During dinner, an abrupt storm came plus some diners had been without umbrella if they finished their foods, the waiters wanted to lend them umbrellas and informed them you don't need to come back them hurriedly. We definitely don't see this sort of warmth and simple confidence often nowadays. This was an excellent experience and hopefully the tradition lives on.

This restaurant goes back in time once you arrive. The cost is quite reasonable and food will be yummy. My faves are the roast pork noodle, refreshing drinking water prawn noodle and hundred years egg dumplings. What I cherished most here has been the caramel eggcustard, much better than Kong Heng / Thean Chun! 😋

Services crews all not friendly, inadequate service. Rushed to purchase food if you are just sit back and showed "black encounter" if you are still considering menu. Food order just allowed for one period. Called the crews several times but no reaction fromthem. Totally ignore setting.

First time We went with family to consume this well-known food restaurant in outdated town. It was filled with many oldies. They need to be used to the place. I purchased Hoong Tho noodle like the title of the eating place. I must state it isgood. I am certain they will have other good meals around I haven't attempt yet. The matter that i want to down is their bad attitude toward clients. We had been waving at them for purchase. We were completely ignored. Uncertain whether we have been heard or seen, ultimately I visited the counter to put the order. We'd to hold back forever for the meals. Once the foods arrived, it had been glorious food indeed. Probably we were hungry because of the longer wait. Move and attempt yourself and all the best!

Traditional food that bring fond memories of increasing up. Overall the meals is good, however, many is somewhat pricey. The egg custard pudding isn't as effective as the famous and authentic in Thean Chun. The bakery is certainly great, must try the popular Jackfruit (cempedak)cake!

For the very first time, we deviated our tastebuds from touristy hotspots and lastly had a thing that most locals would fairly trust. This is a suggestion from our airbnb web host, reported to be around for days gone by 3 generations and the taste certainly displays theauthenticity of the meals we purchased, from fried rice which has complete 'wok hei' to gwei hua glass noodle. Also the tea offered is merely delightful, and the chempedak butter cake will be something unusual but essential try. The one thing we can not comprehend is that people are directly told never to simply increase orders as it does take time... what a character! Properly, how do we resist to purchase even more when something tasted therefore goodd as this?? You tell me.
