This was a great kinda restaurant to go to. Colonial, nice decoration with Queen Elizabeth overlooking our tables. The area was clean; actually the restrooms were perfectly maintained. The ceiling has been high, once and for all ventilation. Now returning to the cause to go to; thefood. The menus was a variety of regional and western fare. It wasn’t particularly delicious or good. Very typical.

Durbar gets the chef and employees led by Kelvin from Ipoh Swimming Golf club. It retains those favourites I recall from my childhood just like the steaks and rather tasty banana fritters. This is the bar in the colonial times for expats but still retains thecharm and history.

My hubby and We enjoyed our late lunch time inside Durbar at FMS - the oldest bar and eating place in Ipoh and perhaps inside Malaysia. The British colonial decoration and ambience put in a exclusive touch to the home signatures meals we ordered - Hainanese Poultry Chopand Poultry Mornay. Our lunch time was made more particular when Susan found share the annals of Durbar around. She then suggested the banana fritters also it was tasty. Susan indeed is really a pleasant ambassador of Durbar.
