best torse around with excellent sambars. that's for breakfast. for lunch it's generally rice and dishes that i am not keen on as i choose the torse, vadai and beehoon.

Basic place, zero heirs or gracers. Service, as you'll expect, no frills. Meals, to die for. Didn't know very well what I has been to order. We was uncertain of the procedure. Place was busy (7pm) All locals, no visitors. Much like previous reviews, the banana leafwas put into front of me. The waiter asked me personally what I was after. I requested Poultry Tikka Masala because We saw it on the menus board when going for walks in. The waiter brought me rice, several veggie dishes, Dhal and curried gravies (fish and chicken) to greatly help myself. The Poultry followed with a handfull of broken Poppadoms. I combined the lot collectively and tucked into what I could only say was Amazing! I'm going again before We leave Penang. Done well guys, great feed.

📍Veloo Villas, Penang Operating given that 1959, this Banana Leaf Joint is well known amongst locals because of its authentic South Indian Cuisine. Their chef hails completely from Karaikudi, therefore the amazing food. Who owns the restaurant explained the must-try meals with a pride forthis art ; poultry Varuval, Mutton Rogan Josh, and the traditional fried chicken. Poultry Rasem (now that’s distinctive) is served on Thurs and Sunday. Veloo Villlas cuisine generally does not have any ‘santan’(coconut milk). That is intentional in order to not really suppress the ‘masala’ flavor of the dishes. Located in the center of town, it’s really worth giving this spot a try for genuine South Indian cuisine.

I'm a senior chef de partie of via pre Italian eating place near veloo vilaas. Cafe..We come everyday in early morning to get either to rava dosai masala dosa or even idli and later on at 5 o clock I purchase daal veggie ...everytime We buy daal orveggie there's s worker this individual cheats me everytime offering me simply ,2 spoons for just two 2 ringitts everytime We come ...it has been happening if you ask me everytime for past 8 weeks ...he's got been cheating me for just two months ...I have no idea the name of employee ...his name I will update shortly ...no affordability for regular clients ...all workers are good except him ...wait around I will update his picture or name ...he could be cheating regular customers ...therefore dissatisfied with the service he provide with senior Italian cuisine via pre chef...I'll tell all friends never to arrived at this restaurant and head to other dining places like Ananda Bhawan ..the daal or veggie he gives me for just two 2 ringitts barely is 15 gm in weight so disappointed with the corrupt worker

The place had not been quite hygienic, food was ok though it had large amount of varieties....since we have been vegetarian we didn't just like the food kept near each other....and yes it had not been really tasty.

Best masala dosa inside Penang. I really like dosa and experienced one when I found its way to Penang at another location about 100m from Vello Villas. The dosa had been dry and awful. Following day I had the very best dosa actually at Velloo Villas. Been cominghere for twenty years and their idlis and dosas are usually fabulous.

We decided to attempt the banana leaf dinner at Veloo Vilas nowadays. This restaurant is favored by locals in Penang. Few of the employees could talk English but we handled with pointing fingers right here, there and there! Luckily, at the entry, we discovered thecashier, a young guy called Thiyagu, who taken care of us quite well. We'd yummy snake gourd with coconut strands and dhall, and a good, warm pumpkin dish inside our veggie platter. My child got extremely excited and ordered, along with his banana leaf food, a rawa thosai, vadai (somewhat as an Indian donut) and idly. We were so complete when we rolled from the restaurant! An excellent, decent meal at an excellent price!
