Upon getting into the SoHo Freehouse you'll immediately see a wave of awful reggae songs blasting you, as opposed to the English pub design decor. The decor could possibly go unnoticed, though, because of the fact that a lot of caves have better light. A waiter willhover over you with a torch to enable you to read the menu, which is where everything else will begin to fail. Some menus possess respectable costs, some have the best prices in town. It is possible to probably guess which menus they want one to notice and which menus they actually cost by. After buying a glass or two from the cheap menus and asking why my beverage was about 4RM more costly, I was informed by the bartender he wouldn't consider my money and I will go on it up with my server, that i did. Finished up saying great, paying the excess, and leaving the amount of money on the desk and then be chased from the bar and accompanied by 3 shouting workers down the sidewalk who didn't think that I'd compensated and got to argue and return back directly into prove that I acquired, in fact, paid the entire cost of 12RM for a 8RM beer. This place was most likely the most severe bar I've ever gone to, and I still left pretty angry, therefore hey, website people, perform yourselves a favor and burn off your money rather than offering it to these idiots.

Great beer however the environment is not any longer as happening as before. Not that ideal for youngsters. The foods is fairly drenched in essential oil but portioning will be Alright. Music is too noisy at times.

Nothing really exclusive here. I anticipate retiring in Penang therefore i keep coming back regularly. This location has hardly changed through the years . Exact same beer. Same food. Most likely the same clientele as well. Not that it's a negative thing but pubs have to 'evolve' andthis you have stagnated. That said, I'm going to be in here some more times before We leave because they always present the Premier league matches

Well. Soho Free Home differs on every evening and different times. Well il start with, Sundays-Thursday. On nowadays it's even more of a relax bar. Where you will see expats, backpackers and locals sitting down and having one glass of beer while hearing tothe house music. Friday-Saturday That's once you see even more of a group coming I specifically after 11pm. There'll be considered a small dance flooring at the trunk where everyone will simply gather mingle around and dance to the tracks. DJ's may also be very pleasant. Celebrated my bday there and he produced a large number of dedications for me. Well, all within and all, if you are the kind of person who likes to chill rather than dance much after that Soho can be your place. Also, beers will be the cheapest within Penang bars/clubs. just RM36 for a Ng of some other beer and about 98 for a tower of tiger. Gleam pool desk but it's generally full a lot of the times. Nice spot to chill! :)

Penang includes a limited selection great bars and clubs which have good vibe, great music and good collection of beverages. I visited the primary strips in george city , very difficult rock in batu ferringi and gerney mall region club G. This is the only real barthat was worthy of a visit. Avoid all of the pubs by slippery senoiritas in george city. This is simply not phuket thailand which as effective as it gets. Costs listed below are reasonable and not really over priced when compared to other bars in a nearby.

Don't get me incorrect - it appeared like a great location if you actually like crowded and intensely noisy pubs but I don't. I did so appreciate my pint of Tiger beer while I viewed the last ten minutes of the rugby but at $21.30 rupiahI ensured it lasted!

Been here 3 x and really liked it. Though it had not been a weekend or open public holiday whenever we went, the area was lively. The services was friendly and effective, and the DJ performed many of the tunes which we requested. In no way a dullmoment. Cheers, men!

Fine for the swift beer or 2, maybe its period for just a little renovation however the staff are usually friendly and its own very convenient getting on Penang street and close other sights. Appears rather uncared for from the exterior with the tables covered inside leaves whichno a single bothers to get rid of. Is it feasible that the staff have to spend less period on the phones and take action active?

Visited this pub many times during our stay static in the Cititel Resort just a couple doors away. It had been always lively and helpful with prompt support. There have been obviously regulars however they seemed quite pleased with our noisy band of newcomers and discussed thebest restaurants and enabling you to get the greatest Guiness draft in Penang. We didn't consume there aside from snacks like poultry wings and some amazing freshly fried ikan bilis (anchovies) with onions and chillies. A couple of dubious character types but a thoroughy great experience. Our band of Singaporeans and Australian inhabitants found it cheap in comparison to home.
