I had to hold back more thab 1 hr in range before it had been my turn, nevertheless the wait was worthwhile the char koay teow was delicious. The store is a simply store with tables and seats people come and move, no big indication boardbut website provides you there.

Uncle is not any longer on the road. Now situated in a store and he had been at the wok. Each plate is definitely individually fried. There's great wok hei/charred flavour. Prawns are big. Small Plate rm7 has 2 pcs prawn. for include 2 pcs prawn isrm9. overall good, simply abit as well salty for me.

me and my hubby came here, originally planned to purchase 1 portion just, since husband isn't keen on kuay teow. reconsidering the queue, husband finally made a decision to try, yet he could be very satisfied. both of us left in joyful tummy. typical tip : avoid lunchand dinner hour.

We visited the famous Siam Street char koay teow and ordered a bowl of koay teow. The koay teow had been properly fried over a charcoal fire. Even though stall opened up at noon, there is an extended queue at 11.30 am. The koay teow included cockleshells, egg, koo chye and chinese sausage. The dark sauce has been fragrant and I waited 1 hour for my meals. It was affordability and I will keep coming back for more 1 day.

Queued for a lot more than one hour during lunch hr. Food is nice however the queue is really a bit too lengthy to wait for. Would be great when there is a numbering system in order that everyone reaches sit and wait instead of ti physically queuefor it.

Long wait: I’ve read of the lengthy queues thus we reached at 11.55am (before 12pm starting) but we were already behind the queue. The proprietors were still establishing at 12pm, obtaining the charcoal prepared etc so that they didn’t begin cookingtill later. There’s just a physical queue program, so one individual had to hold back at the seat as the various other stood for an excellent 1.5h, the wait around would’ve been much better if we were both seated. We just got our food 1.5h later on, and those queueing gets the CKT smell trapped on them all day every day. We observed the queue shortening around 1.30pm, therefore i would advise you ahead at night usual lunch hour. Food review: The CKT had an excellent wok hey taste to it that i didn’t find in other stalls, therefore i have to say this is among the better tasting ones around. But overall, the lengthy wait around killed the anticipation and novelty of using the famed char kway teow.

Prepare to wait around for approximately an hour. Plenty of tourist. As well wet for dried kway teow I personally believe Ah Leng fried kway teow is way better. End up being prepare to see previous uncle using hands to get the prawn etc.. Not really ao clean

This place already may be the icon on Penang street food. Dined on 5 Nov two different people around 5 pm. Parked at the open carpark next door. After waiting 35 mins on queue we liked two char kuay Teow that prepared on charcoal ,Made out of most traditional method. It had been divine. Shi fu has been nice enough to eliminate pork from the recipe of our purchase. It was filled with fine smoke cigarettes flavour with intense flavor. Must go anytime.
