I visited the Weld hawker foods centre also it was virtually deserted because of bank holiday therefore i proceeded to Maria's that is very near and that has been quite busy. No issue finding a desk though. I purchased the pork noodles mediumfor 5 Rm from the stall and sat down. Somebody did come across and ask easily wanted a drink however they didn't seem to possess any beer therefore i declined. The noodles arrived shortly later on and were very good. For Rm 5 the bowl was quite complete and tasty. Thank heavens I didn't choose the large for just 50c more!

Wan tan mee here's quite nice. Both dry & soupy edition Have eaten here many times. Parking is really a bit tricky and contains to become sought at the trunk. If in a position to find parking close by - you should do possess a bowl/plate of wan tan mee. Itz inexpensive , tasty & services is courteous.

The famous wanton noodle was good. The noodle had been springy, but not just as much as Hong Kee bamboo noodles. The sauce, wanton and char siew were typical. The Penang Hokkien Mee otherwise referred to as prawn noodles, served with spicy chilli-laden soup, egg, sliced fish cakeand pork, and a variety of rice vermicelli and egg noodle was excellent. The sliced prawns had been small rather than the main feature! Unlike the famous Presgrave Road 888 Hokkien Mee with long queue, that one was served in mins while I sat waiting in comfort. Next door is currently a stall from the previous well-known Swatow Lane ice kacang and cendol. You could have your wanton noodle and Hokkien Mee over there but I made a decision to stroll over for post-supper dessert. Both ice kacang and cendol were excellent with finely ground ice.
