Maple Palace is my children favorite Chinese restaurant inside Penang. Had many excellent meals here. My parents only hosted a large lunch for their good friends yesterday. Today we'd a quiet family lunch time together. Firstly, there were way too many menu items outof stock or sold-out. During the ordering procedure, the manager or associate supervisor kept telling my mother - this item isn't available which is also not available. After the dishes have already been ordered, he returned twice to require a change because items which he thought were available have already been sold out! Because of the haphazard and last second changes of meals, it had been unfortunate that all the laundry ordered were of more powerful taste type. Even though, we found all dishes were over-seasoned (too saltish). They might have been excellent if the cooks or chefs cool off 10-20% on the usage of salt. The service through the meal was superb.
