We came here after Halab’s administration dishonorably refused to honor our desk booking number. Best choice we're able to have made. The waiters and chefs had been especially helpful despite having a complete home. They answered our queries concerning the recipies. At one stage one of these even called the dog owner to verify that the dahl masalah we’d eaten was exactly the same one referred to on a particular page in her latest recipie publication The Penang Feast. Tonight the administration at Halab had been unhospitable; the administration at Jawi Home Cafe made up for this with heated hospitality and first class delicious dishes.

Jawi Peranakan cuisine from its best! Absolutely like everything about this location. The cosy ambience, stunning wooden dining home furniture and a historic screen of photos through period provides it a nostalgic experience. We purchased a kerabu mangga, mutton briyani, colonial lemon tartfor lunch time, all washed down with a mighty refreshing cup of nutmeg fruit juice. Divine fusion of flavours and textures, a genuine gastronomic trip with every mouthful. It had been one of our greatest lunches in Penang - excellent service, affordable too!

Authentic Jawi Peranakan food inside traditional setting. Went there for lunch time, fast and attentive support. Fantastic sauces. Big portions and incredibly good collection of teas. Highly recommended.

Modest pricing in the menu considering its primary location along Amernian Road. Food is filled with flavour and employees are attentive/pleasant. Suggest never to drive there when you can make it as parking will undoubtedly be difficult.

Proceeded to go here during MCO 3.0 for a small business trip. This location was not actually rave on google motors, and reviews were therefore so. However, happy that me & my companion went for this. We ordered chef’s suggestion prawn briyani 4/5 & armenian salad 3.5/5. Thefood was great blended properly with the ambience of the eating place. Definitely worthy of the try!

I read all the 1 star evaluations and I believe it's odd they would think it is bad! My children and I came right here for supper (reservations were manufactured in progress, like how everyone must do as there is restricted seating) and we couldnot become more satisfied. The meals was spectacularly flavourful, service was excellent, ambience was calming and decor was a good addition to learn concerning the history. We'd the chicken biryani(meats literally drops off the bone also it was thus tender), the Levant Platter which includes Baba ganoush, Hummus, natural salad with feta cheese(I believe) and it includes warm fluffy pita loaf of bread which goes together effectively, & for drinks, we'd nutmeg with lime fruit juice and loved each and every thing! We were not used to Jawi House aswell and did not find out it existed until we were recommended by among our friends and we've been coming here since! Truly simply no regrets at all in fact it is a must visit invest Penang. The 1 star reviews are completely baseless and I get that everyone has their very own preferences but don't accuse a location for being bad because you claim it really is once you haven't actually tried their food or experienced their service. Overall, Jawi House definitely didn't deserve the bad testimonials. Ps. My mum comes with an addiction to your poultry biryani. She just purchased it yesterday and visited pick it up. The truth that she doesn't even eat significantly meat, says everything.

Most delicious food We had in Asia within the last 4 yrs (since i have live here). We visited Penang for 3 times only and ate right here twice, on the initial and third evening. Totally fantastic mix of tastes, super refreshing and great high quality. Jawi willbe the reason behind me ahead visit George Town shortly again.
