As our final of three nights in George City, Penang, sufficient reason for hearing it is the culinary capital of Malaysia we were under great pressure to get that one right. Like most of the greatest establishments around George City we've learnt never to judge a guide bythe cover up. ET Steamboat appears like the least expensive Chinese takeaway you'd stroll past in the united kingdom but as a website few in our 30s we are able to say this was among, or even the, tastiest foods we've had the enjoyment to get. We have spent a huge selection of pounds on supper for just two in Michelin-starred dining places but the flavor of the chilli crab right here simply blew us aside. We actually proceeded to go there for a 'steamboat' having in no way attempted one before and the personnel generously and patiently walked us through every stage of the procedure. We purchased both a steamboat (with an assortment of poultry, pork, prawns then one very tasty however, not very identifiable) and a set of chilli crabs. For a geniune culinary regard this one isn't to be missed.

This place is well known because of its steamboat but what i wish to rave about is its Nyonya Cuisine. The nine meals served here is similar to Grandma's Cooking... if you are usually craving for some comfort food, at once there. The must dishesare the Soury Seafood Curry ( Gulai Hoo Sui with Pomfret), Assam Prawns, Soury Soup ( Chai Boey), Joo Hoo Char, Lor Bak, and Hong Bak ( Pork Stew)

Evidently local Penangites will possibly eat in the home or have hawker meals actually for supper. This place may be the exception, although called Steamboat Cafe it serves meals too. There have been 2 nyonya meals we ordered that's outstanding! Perut ikan and asam seafood. Must orderif they will have it that day time! This place 's been around more than 30 many years. Cut back many happy reminiscences for my father as he utilized to consume here with my past due mother. Individuals running the area are friendly too. Prices is affordable.

Steamboat dinners are best for organizations & leisure socializing while feeding on healthy cooking. Good meals with attentive service continuously including broth to the pot. Furthermore try their tasty bah chang (or purchase collect). Bah changs are usually yummy steamed glutinous rice packed with marinated porkmorsels & chestnuts.
