Saw some individuals sharing with this Penang First Bamboo Nasi Lemak close to Weld Quay and since was in Penang lately, thought of attempting it out. The rice has been fragrant and great, but expected even more since I thought it had been steamed in bamboo (but whathappened may be the rice is prepare like normal but it placed into the bamboo to help keep warm). The fried poultry is of good size and tasty but I've tasted better fried poultry. The sambal isn't bad. So overall - I'd say it isn't too harmful to a nasi lemak but probably because with the novelty to be a bamboo nasi lemak, more was expected. My nasi lemak ayam goreng expenses me RM 8 and includes a nice helping of rice, peanuts and anchovies, cucumber, papadom and a difficult boiled egg. Not bad at all of a pricing. There is also sambal squid or shrimp to opt for your nasi lemak and for individuals who can't stand spicy food, can choose the nasi ayam or poultry rice
