Quite frequent coming right here. Either for breakfast of lunch time. An extremely nice nasi kandar traditional style. Open from early morning until lunch hour just. Close around 2-2.30 pm. The taste is good and the ambience is good. Can easily see alot of factor on offer because withinthe tourist place and condition assembly hall.

This place is frequented by locals. They open up as soon as 8am and totally sold-out before 2pm or sometimes even earlier. Almost all their curries are great. The best dish undoubtedly and the most distinctive to Merlin will be their ayam bawang, a poultry currycooked in fiery spices sufficient reason for lashings of onions. The gravy does not have any coconut milk which means this will be a dish that may keep well. The initial and absolutely delicious flavor of this dish is excatly why I ranked it five superstars. Unfortunately sometimes they don't cook it. There were many times I must accept other dishes. Car parking is really a real challenge for the reason that area specifically after nine am.

It really is all hype and the meals pretty ordinary, nothing exceptional. The fried poultry is tough as a rock and the curry seafood is ok

We came for breakfast many times and the meals was consistently fantastic. Our favourites will be the curry poultry, beef rendang, fried seafood and fried poultry. All of the veg dishes had been amazing too. Come earlier to defeat the crowds, though.

We stayed at the Merlin in 1991, enjoyed its benefits and ate several meals in the bottom level restaurant. It was our launch to the initial deliciousness of Malay food preparation...heading back there in 2019, I was curious in order to see what changes acquired occured. Thehotel was convenient and obviously cost a lot more but had been quite comfy and wonderfully maintained by Faisal. I'm happy to state that the Nasi Kandar didn't disappoint...it had been hard to obtain a seat! The meals was as delicious when i remembered it!

Wall plug opens early for breakfast till about 3pm. A popular with workers in offices and locals.Got a bowl of rice along with curry seafood, a bit of beef,lady's fingertips and hard boiled egg along with a request for an assortment of the beef,seafood along with other gravies.The mixture wasto give an extra oomph to the meal.Food has been fresh and incredibly tasty.Though curry is mentioned,it isn't spicy.You might also need other choices like curry & fried poultry gizzards etc Service is great .Queue to purchase your food.Choose what you would like and ask individual to inform you the cost that you pay after the food at the counter.Drinks are usually ordered separately.Carpark might be a problem.

I actually tried this Nasi Kandar with my children after complete my IELTS examination. For me personally, this nasi kandar is fairly unique. The flavor of its curry differs from the another nasi kandar that I've tried.

Whenever I'm in Penang, I'll have a minumum of one lunch at Merlin Hotel Nasi Kandar. The types of meat and fish curries are consistently good. The purchase price is inexpensive and inexpensive. I had a bowl of whitened rice with two bits of beef,a bit of roast poultry, and four ladies fingertips (ocra). The full total bill having an iced drink had been RM$11.85 cents. You can't defeat that for value! Like most good consuming outlets in Penang, getting a street airport parking space is really a problem.

Simply no frills nasi kandar eating place located in the bottom flooring of the Merlin Resort building, hence the title. It seemed that point is frozen here and you also are transported to the 50s or 60s period upon entering the cafe. The interior deco is quite muchold style, possibly the original layer of color and tables remain present. This restaurant opens early and folks come here for heavy breakfast. The dishes available aren't exactly numerous, in comparison to some other a lot more famois nasi kandar dining places but whatever come in the serving trays are honestly tasty. I got beef in dark gravy, fried poultry liver, ladies' fingertips and eco-friendly chilli. A simple bowl of nasi kandar. Filled with savoury flavour.
