Ordered pho, always an indicator of genuine taste. The broth had been very nice however the beef has been chewy and undercooked. Many gristly parts were unpalatable. Deep fried and refreshing spring rolls were wonderful, nevertheless the dipping sauce has been way too salty. Lemon grass vermicelli wasover cooked. Noodles had been mushy and incredibly little lemon grass taste.

Visited 3 times because it open (latest only yesterday evening Oct 01, 2017). Food: delicious & preferences authentic (compared against my 3 journeys to Saigon & Hanoi). top quality ingredients & presentation than normal penang restaurant Service: need to be patient - might take sometime ahead from purchase, but has improved right away. a bit of trouble communicating with some international waiter. Food is normally served reasonable quick (above typical ...) but those people that would rather eat together will have to specify to the boss for the food ahead out at same period else the food will undoubtedly be offered one dish by one dish (sequentially). Affordability: expensive (main dish common rm15-16 each) but imho it really is worth the amount of money both from portion dimension and taste perspective Opinion: will return back AND recommend Mekong cafe to family and friends provided that qualty and worth of the meals served improves or even is maintained What to improve: dining room is decorated only with "hard" decor so location will get very noisy when many households are eating there (drapes and fabric furniture can help mute the echoes). For weekends and lengthy weekends easier to call ahead particularly if eathing there together with your family. Part for beef noodles is really a bit small tho
