I hardly gives a 5 star evaluation to any F&B location anywhere but this bar deserves it; an excellent place to have a day drink, great provider and good beverages, not forgetting happy hour till 7pm (however, not for cocktails). Aircon or openair poolside seating. Location almost contrary Protestant Colonial Cemetery that was visited before beverages as part of a self organised visit :)

We've been before and enjoy the amenities of the bar. Final evaluation I was a little critical of the program but I could happily say they have sharpened up service ranges in order that it is difficult to find fault. Done well Eand O.

They will have combined their planters lounge because the all day long bar. Clearly not similar ambiance and traditional colonial bar. Shame they didn't upgrade this on the electronic&o website, rather it is possible to still discover the bar’s info that is a bit confusing.

We were excited to test the new bar given that it has simply reopened. The previous bar was a normal stop for us if we visited my moms and dads (who reside in Penang). I must say i loved the appearance of the bar; the renovation is usually stunning.They have a fresh drinks menu with plenty of interesting cocktails, however the first cocktail my hubby tried to order wasn't available (Aged Negroni). My mom purchased a Mojito, but however in addition they couldn't make that. (I am sorry, what bar can't create a Mojito?) My gin & tonic was excellent, and ultimately most of us got drinks that people enjoyed. The old bar used to possess happy hr and that has been why we'd gone early (5:30 PM) to look at the brand new bar. Happy hr is gone today. That would have already been OK, as the cocktails we could actually order were excellent, but regrettably at about 5:50 pm my hubby was well informed that the bar no more allows anyone in the bar after 6 PM who's wearing shorts. He has been wearing an extremely nice silk clothing with modest shorts but we had been nevertheless evicted. This wasn't the policy in the aged bar so we weren't expecting this at all. We still left at 6 PM and can not be back again. The bar was completely empty whenever we left therefore i hope they could make it happen. OK, not necessarily. I really was annoyed that the brand new bar will not value their clients. This is Penang! Folks are wearing shorts. Additional supervisors in the bar identified my dad as a normal customer but unfortunately we were proved for not conference their lofty targets to create this a snooty bar. We will not be returning and so are sad to reduce a formerly wonderful drinking spot.
