Recommended by my dad in law. He emerged frequently while employed in penang years ago. Lost just how inside our first attempt because of one way traffic while watching restaurant. Limited parking location too. Several signature cuisine: bak ki soup, fried hokkien mee, bean curd, fried cup noodle. One dinner can check it out all !

It's not exactly situated in prime area, similar to a industrial area. But regardless of, have vehicle and driver will see. Good local hokkien meals. Some were uncommon for me, just like the soup, known as bak ki soup? Pork dipped in some type of flour andthrown into bowling soup that makes it relatively starchy (believe halfway between Szechuan heavy soup and consommé). Or chien, hokkien noodles. It is a family restaurant, little and considerably noisy but significantly, although I'm not just a big enthusiast of hokkien foods, I'd go again!

"Ang Hoay Lor" (Hokkein dialect) means Red Fire Stove. It is a cooked dishes restaurant. Their speciality can be oyster-based dishes: - Oyster noodles ("Orh Mee": wettish design fried oyster noodles); - Oyster omelette egg ("Orh Chien"); - Fried oyster cup noodles (Fried Tang Hoonoyster). Other popular dishes: - Fried "Kang Kong" vege; - Bak Kee soup - signature dish - bits of meat deep-fried, cornstarched, starchy soup with cabbage); Steamed Fish; Prawn fritters; Tau Kua Suan Nah (tofu leek). The meals is of top quality. No frills restaurant. Primary customers: - Locals - Out-of-state Malaysians - Malaysian/Singaporean food websites followers.

We went to the main one at Jalan Gurdwara. The area is very previous and packed. Its already been some times that people visited this place now we opt to recall the flavor of hokian foods.but after these days we sensed kinda disappointed with the flavor. Foodwas just so therefore but price is costly already.

A real concealed gem with excellent Hokkien dishes. No excellent ambience but great meals. The fried glass noodles, fried egg oysters, and oyster fried bee hoon were excellent. Great program from Shanti who served all of us.

We wandered more than here since it was near where we are residing at Sandiland Condo properties and just searching for a spot to eat. I has been a little put off initially whenever we went in since they didn't have a menus, but thewaitress seemed helpful enough so we attempted it. We questioned what dishes they will have and communications had been a little rough, but we were able to purchase oyster noodles, an oyster omelette, some kang kong, rice, several beers and an ice tea. Everything was excellent. The kang kong had been a little spicy for my partner, however the rest was great. Really loved the tastes and textures. I've acquired oyster omelettes at many place in Penang through the years, but this was undoubtedly the best. I'd highly recommend the area and will definitely return back. Total for the meal and beverages was 62 MYR that was a fair price.

Delicious in the event that you eat there, its a geniune Penang Hokkien Cuisine inside affordable price. Their fried prawn is crucial to try out. Personally, i like their "taugua char", mix fried hard tofu.

We prefer to head to their Pulau Tikus cafe. This place serves conventional hokkien meals. We like their cup noodles fried with oysters. The majority of their noodle meals were good along with their fried seafood in bean sauce. But their prawn fritters had been disappointing. The batter was way too thick

I actually had eaten at their MacClister branch just before and liked the oyster noodles presently there. Whenever a friend suggested likely to the initial resto, I agreed in simple. And we discovered it steeped in regional character, a straightforward space that's not already been spruced up inover twenty years I picture. Ambience apart, we found the meals selections fairly expanded that included other dishes. Normally we purchased their signature oyster noodle, which in cases like this we opted with tang hoon or cup noodles. Having assimilated the generous splash of darkish soya sauce and an excellent smattering of local herbal treatments and spices, it had been furthermore studded with plump oysters that proceeded to go so nicely with the noodles. We furthermore purchased a veg, kailan with prawns, a tofu dish and a soup that has been bland and quite worthless. Otherwise great marks for the 3 other dished. Expenses was most fair and would come back on my next stop by at Penang.
