Now there is really a famous nasi melayu ikan bawal within Kampung Tok Kangar. This location Warong Bonda will be newer but I think it is equally good. There's today a chain of Warong Bondas in mainland Penang. This specific Warong Bonda wall plug is situated in TamanSri Delima switching quickly Jalan Juru following a flyover over North-South Expressway (via Jalan Bukit Tengah path). It includes a very wide range of Malay curries, meals and ulam to pick from. There's always a cooking food station where dark pomfret (ikan bawal hitam), marinated chicken and poultry loh-bak are deep-fried refreshing. There is a darkish spicy soy sauce to opt for the deep-fried seafood or chicken. Their sambal belacan always goes well with ulam or just with fried egg.

While going to our Malaysia office a few of the group took us out for lunch time. It is a buffet design restaurant with several different options and affordable. I'd return back here again
