People point out advertisement by person to person is most effective which is strictly how my spouse and I got eventually to know this well-known shop marketing Chinese steamed buns or even locally called 'pau'. It really is situated in a double-storey shophouse across the one-method streetof Jalan Berjaya, reverse SMK Bukit Mertajam and some doors from a 7-Eleven outlet. This is a operated by way of a family collectively with several helpers. It isn't actually a cafe but a shop building and offering steaming hot 'pau'. Virtually all the clients buy and take-aside the 'pau' although a little area with a little desk and a bench can be acquired for individuals who cannot resist consuming the 'pau' at that moment. Various kinds of delicious 'pau' can be found here. Besides the huge bun or 'tua pau' and 'bak pau', you can find other 'pau' with various fillings and flavours like reddish bean, kaya, char siew, white coconut, nice corn, yam (taro), curried potato, pineapple, boi chai or preserved veggies, custard with salted egg, sengkuang (yambean),espresso, chocolate, lovely potato and also ki chi (wolfberry). The costs ranged from RM1.20 to RM3.50, which we think have become reasonable indeed. All of the 'pau' are handmade inside the back portion of the store, skillfully pleated into various designs and patterns in accordance with their flavours. Your skin of the 'pau' will be soft, fluffy also it does not adhere to the palate of our mouth area when we munch on it. The meats fillings aren't oily or salty, another fillings aren't too sweet and flavor very natural without the hint of synthetic flavours. Being 'pau' enthusiasts, we dare state the 'pau' listed below are superior to those sold in lots of other places. The shop is open each day except Sundays, from 9.00 am till everything comes out that is usually right before noon. It is well worth mentioning that the proprietor regarding his spouse and his daughter and also their staff have become pleasant and polite when coping with their customers. Excellent very hot steamed 'pau' offered/offered with a warm grin. Very recommendable.

I have never had this type of good Pau before! There's wide selection of choice, all similarly taste good. They have even some special options that are not obtainable else where like "moi choi pau"! That is one of the best! Along with thatthe coconut pau, large pau may also be my recommendation in case you are first time here!

Heard about this famous pau maker inside Bukit Mertajam recently and since i have was back Penang for the Hari Raya vacations I went browse the place. Usually open from in relation to 9am till sold-out (usually prior to noon), the Ee Loong Delifoodis situated in Taman Berjaya Indah facing the primary road (yet u enter the service road to park). They have plenty of forms of pau from the most common big pau, charsiew, bak pau, kaya, tausar, lengyong, chai pau to the more rare coconut, coffee, chocolate, sweetcorn, sweet potato, yam, curry potato and their occasionally cheese potato. In addition they market lo mai kai and bak chang and miku. Their pau is really a little various from the most common dimsum shop when it comes to their pau skin. Making use of wholemeal flour you will observe the consistency and bite of the pau just a little different making this pau shop sticks out. Costs of pau is slightly greater than outsise nonetheless it is heavier and minor bigger too. Two typical dimension pau fills you up quite nicely. I'd say its an advisable visit to make to move this pau shop. Do take note it is a eliminate only shop.
